It’s incredible to see what communism can consistently achieve even under extreme external pressure. Imagine the world we’ll be living in once capitalism is defeated globally.

But yet western liberals will still claim Venezuela has been “destroyed by socialism and the dictator of Maduro” while ignoring things like this

That’s around a full fifth of the population hot damn! I hope with the current surge in LatAm/China cooperation and the USA hurting itself in confusion the sanctions eventually become irrelevant.

Why one fifth? Why should only one person live in one house? Or do they mean “enough houses for 4,6million”

That’s 4600000 houses. Population of Venezuela is 30 million so if we count average family with 3-4 people that’s nearly half of the population housed in 12 years. That’s tremendous achievement.

Some of those are probably intended for 1 person, but it also clearly states the families are priority so a lot of those would be larger so assuming between 2-3 rooms and 3-4 people averagely per unit is reasonable.

That’s just is just to put it into perspective how many homes that is for the size of Venezuela. Some of the homes seem to be 2/3-bedroom apartments and the program seems to be explicitly designed to accommodate larger families so they’re definitely housing more than a fifth of the population on this alone.

More than one fifth is true, but it is also far from the truth. Venezuela has 29 million people. So if the average is only 3 people per home you can house 1/2.
