Curious if they are just going to milk it by running the story like Season 01 or if they are continuing the story.
It seemed like the Creator had a plan for future seasons since there were little hints to things building up in the background of the first season so I doubt there’s no plan and that they’re just milking it. Of course it’s hard to know if it will be as good since lots of times first seasons are good because they developed the idea for a decade then when there’s an opportunity for a season 2 they’re not as prepared on the details.
The entire premise is already exposed, and the story complete. Any attempt at a second season is just a pointless cash grab that completely ignores the message of the show to begin with.
they gave hints to season 2 so the creator might have some plans.
I’m hopeful that’s not the case but never know. The way it left off would at least hint at him being in the game again.
Thats the best thing about the foreign adaptations on Netflix. Hollywood isnt involved, the formulas are different, the bars of acceptability are different, audience expectations are really different.
They are so much less predictable.
While true, a lot of korean shows do become victims of studios milking the shit out of them with sequels because they became popular. Being a foreign show doesn’t exempt them from greedy studios.
I’m assuming that the season 1 MC will only be minimally involved, probably a couple of scenes at the end of the season. The teaser trailers didn’t show any new scenes with him, he was only badly edited in for a second.
Are there even any official trailers yet? Any links?
The teaser I was talking about was released almost two years ago. It looks like they’ve released a bunch more over the last months, but I don’t want to get spoiled, so I can’t really check which ones are good and which aren’t. They’re up on YouTube if you want to have a look yourself :)
I took a look and just found unofficial fan-stuff. I’m not even sure there are any official season two trailers.
This show was so over hyped that I skipped it completely
"People like this thing. Therefore, I decided it must be bad and didn’t even try to see if it’s something I would like based on the thing alone.
How do you not realise how dumb you are?
“everyone likes this thing. It’s so mainstream. Therefore, it MUST be good, and anyone who even so much as questions it is a poo poo head”
How do you not realise how dumb you are?
It would be dumb. If they stated their view of it without seeing it. They actually stated no view at all.
So, you stated :
-
Your view without having seen it.
-
Assumed then stated another person’s view for them.
Only one person here seems to be a poo poo head. I’ll stop the explanation there, I doubt you are following.
More likely, you are an energy vampire, and in that case. Well done. Because your two comments are two of the least intelligent I have ever seen. And… if you are legitimately not trolling and are trying… I weep for the caretakers who will wipe your butt and feed you.
Have a nice day.

It was a good series, it was just way overhyped for some reason.
Popular things can still be entertaining, just look at the original Star Wars for instance. You can always give it a shot, sometime. Also, expectations can sour an experience so try to be open and everything, especially considering where you’re coming from.
It was actually incredibly powerful. The first episode or so is dumb in the way that only Korean films can be. But if you allow yourself to be sucked in, you’re in for a wild ride. Not everything about it is good, and some of it is a bit on the nose, or too gratuitous with the violence, but the message in the final episode is worth watching the entire series.
