politics @lemmy.world•Trump administration changes have left US diplomats demoralized and less able to do their jobs, report says
4·12 days agoTrump raked in billions from fleecing people with his crypto scam at the beginning of the year before he was even sworn in, then took millions in bribes from technocrats and others wanting to sweeten him up. He owes no debts, he is no scapegoat, he is acting on his own accord, even if in the end he truly is the useful puppet of Peter Thiel et al.

Same! Everyone is jealous of my calves 😏
Don’t worry, I always have a stockpile. I can lend you a few, just A FEW. I need the rest

8·2 months agoOne way forward I see is the fediverse. If we can create a platform that will be able to host a storefront for specific items, have it connect to other storefronts by some sort of federated search and cart system, allow a single point of transaction for a cart that spans multiple stores, and be able for the host to easily spin up an instance, that to me seems like it could start picking up traction easily and quickly. Think of etsy, consolidated into a specific niche. Expand that to thousands of instances with their own niches, able to connect to one another for a seamless shopping experience for the end user. Small business owners could run an instance of their own if they’d like. Or someone with some small equity could start an instance and focus solely on customer service, returns, overhead of site management, etc (maybe I’m dumb and this etc is bigger than I realize), and basically allow individuals to rent out a virtual booth in a digital flea market.

World News@lemmy.world•Uruguay passes law to legalize euthanasiaEnglish
8·2 months agoI never really hear of this subject talked about. I have no idea the general consensus of assisted suicide, but I truly believe this is a sad necessity in society. The examples and quote in the article speaks volumes that everyone expects you to continue suffering, to keep fighting even when all hope is lost, and that isn’t always a life that’s “worth” living with all the pain and disabilities. It’s great they label it as death with dignity.
I didn’t know Gatorade came in cans
Is that second pic real? That man is unleashing the power of a fire hose on that fence

Still 25% uncertain that what you are eating is actually toast?
Just get a harness for the dog and a seat belt that can attach to the harness. I would not trust that flimsy plastic to hold back an excited dog that just so happens to want to jump out of the window
However, what a cutie 😍
If it is that, they are the same person lol https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joji_(musician)
Is this pink guy standing on Joji’s shoulders?
That’s you being ignorant and burying your head in the sand (mostly applies if you’re American, you get a little more leeway if you’re not). The Epstein files are supposed to at the very least contain a client list of people who went to the island, who most could come to the conclusion were only there to rape children. Any more questions, look it up, it is very reported on
I don’t know how you believe it doesn’t exist
It makes it suspect that the books may have been written by a pedophile (overlooking things like the orgy in IT). Odd thing to defend the Epstein files if you aren’t one.
