  • The amount of grands they get is enough to understand how one might be inclined to continue/prolong the research project they are doing. On the other hand there is the sunk cost fallacy. They spend all this time and effort on a research subject basically staking their whole carriers on it being right or giving results and they can’t give up. I’m guessing most is doing it because of the sunk cost fallacy.

  • What a childish and ignorant opinion. Do you know how many people executed in history without even hearing about what they were accused of? Or do you know how many people didn’t even have the chance to defend themselves because ignorant people like you felt like that they know they are guilty? Or how many people are lynched in the streets because someone said they are guilty? History is full of such examples. Blaming the law and asking for anarchy is not a solution. Who’s going to stop the powerful in your utopia from taking everything from you? How it’s different than your rich gets to do all claim? Law is complicated because law deals with human relations, action and their results when you come up with a simple human civilization you can make simple laws. This modern society that you despise that gave you all these amenities came as a result of laws that you despise. You wanna go back be my guest go establish your own state let’s see how long you and your like minded people will stay alive.

  • I don’t like Mr. Beast. But I’m a lawyer and it’s not strange that someone taking legal action to determine if there is something wrong either it’s as a person or a corporation. Considering he is using his persona for his business audits of his business is nothing out of the norm. On the other hand calling it an admission of legally questionable behavior because someone went to a court of law so that it can be decided legally is same as calling someone guilty because others felt like it. Law doesn’t work like that. You can say it’s ethically problematic but than you can’t single him out because many people joined him in such bullshit.

  • I checked that case and it’s exactly as I said in my prior post. It was the surname of the owner and he was using it for his business long before the domain name registration Nissan Motors couldn’t get it. Because they sued him as a trademark infringement. In my opinion it’s nothing but an abuse of legal rights and court should have ruled so as well but I’m not the judge.

So, if we turn back to the main subject you can’t claim infringement and damages from someone using their name.

  • Domain names and trademarks are regulated differently. Domain names registrations work on first come first served basis. While trademarks have legal requirements that needs to be fulfilled.

If you have a prior trademark that’s the same as the domain name (considering it’s unique and not a general word like game, sex or food etc…) and your trademark is somewhat known than you can sue the domain name holder to get it back. This has so many details and requirements so I won’t get into that. I don’t know the details about the Nissan so can’t comment.

As for trademarks and why it doesn’t work is you can’t sue anyone for using their own name. For example banking network SWIFT can’t sue Taylor Swift. Also for a trademark owner to claim infringement the party who is using the said trademarked name/word has to be doing the same or similar work, working in the same industry and/or doing something that’s detrimental to the trademark.

I hope I made it more clear for you. Have good day.

There is no such thing as immutable or uncorruptable OS. My late father would always find a way to fuck up the laptop I setup for him. He would even come back with errors that I’ve seen for the first time and our conversation would go like this:

Me: How did this happen? My Father: how should know? It was like this when I turned it on. Me: what did you do before you turned it off last time? My Father: I was on Facebook, played some backgammon and watched some YouTube. Me: …

I miss him and I would gladly give everything to have him bother me with his laptop problems one more time. I hope that he is getting some good support where ever he is.
