I randomly saw this game too and knew I had to instantly wishlist it. If this game looks interesting to anyone here, I highly recommend playing A Hat In Time

The story of 1.5 is absolutely insane. Here’s a really well made documentary style video about it. There’s so many people that got their hands on the build of the game and refused to make it public because they wanted to extort money from the community, make a name for themselves by “fixing” the game, or just wanting to be a special lil boy who has the only copy on a rotting disc.

There’s entire genres that I don’t like such as country or Christmas music. Specific songs have to be Wonderful Christmastime by Paul McCartney and I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston. Wonderful Christmastime I already don’t like because it’s a Christmas song and almost all of those feel preachy and disingenuous, but a friend described the song as Paul trying out every button and knob on a synth and I can’t unheard that now. I Will Always Love You I just don’t like. The instrumental is there, but that’s all I can say about it since nothing seems to stand out and it just kinda sounds like background noise. And I understand that her vocal work is impressive, but that doesn’t make it a good song. Honestly, the song feels like I’m being yelled at for 4 and a half minutes

Element on PC. For mobile Element Classic only supports text chats, and Element X is the experimental app for testing voice and video calls. The PC program and Classic work fine, didn’t test X

I have been looking into self hosting a Matrix server. Call and stream quality seemed pretty good, however there can only be one person screen sharing at a time. So yeah, unfortunately Matrix won’t work as a discord alternative unless they get an update to allow for multiple people to screen share.

I remember there was a Discord competitor called Revolt that recently changed their name to Stoat. Haven’t heard much in particular about it, but does any one have any thoughts on Stoat?
