If its not a victory then why are we here? If its not a victory then why are we still developing, testing, and printing? Do you even know what the signal is? Did everything come to a halt when he got arrested? Are you that weak in this that you don’t expect casualties or sacrifice. If it was reported that he died would it change anything? Would your sentiments be any different? Even at that do we carry on his work and research into more refined and amazing projects in this art or are you just here for the printing cool stuff and shooting it. The forum hasn’t gone packing. People are still working and still developing and the majority of the contributions are for free. Hoffman hasn’t given up. PSR still doing his thing. California’s lawsuit hasn’t stopped anything. If you can’t see the victory in the signal then you should ask yourself why you are here. For me, I believe in all this work for a greater cause and I’d hope there are many who believe the same way. I mean, if its just a phase and its all for nothing then yeah, we should all give up on this hobby because it would be pointless. However, you’re here so I assume its not for nothing. You have no idea what I do for a living do you? Victory comes in many forms my friend. It’s a victory because his sacrifice hasn’t gone unnoticed plain and simple. Rights get taken away every day and if you’re here in the U.S. then you most likely fail to understand that the freedom that you have at this moment came at the cost of others. Some of them were tortured, beaten, punished, arrested, and even died. Now that attention is being brought to the hobby albeit the fact that its negative attention, are you gonna be one of those whose like I’m done because I don’t want to get arrested or are you gonna stand up for it even if it means getting arrested. He made a choice. Are you gonna call Carioca stupid for making that choice as well? He gave us the Urutau and he kept doing his thing until he got arrested. He didn’t make a scene, he didn’t resist. He got his masterpiece out here and were printing it. No one, not even you can take that from him. It doesn’t matter how much legislation is created and no matter what happens to him, it already out here in the world and its not going to stop. That’s the victory.
Its no different than a bunch of members here trying to push for making FRT’s for everything and making so many of them that it can’t be stopped. Making so many to the point that they’ll have to accept it. If they choose not to accept it then what are you gonna do. Are you gonna quit because your afraid of getting arrested?
