Agreed. I also don’t want the game to be easier. To get a powerful item you must pay a high price, otherwise it lets you run trough the game like a hot knife trough butter.
I just don’t like the fact that, at the moment, there is no price to pay for a powerful item. And when i get to the blacksmith, my weapon of choice has already been chosen. Most of the times I’ll use a tier-4 weapon as I get the sixth Scroll of Upgrade in the prison.
After some time, it gets boring. Tier-5 weapons are too far away or too dependent on luck, tier-3 weapons are too far behind in damage, so I end up only using tier-4 weapons.
For the games I have played, I would say that in only 05% of those I used a tier-5 weapon. Not because I didn’t pay the price, just because luck didn’t favor me. After some time, it gets to me.
Either way, good game. But I would add a bit more seasoning if possible.
