Okay but the grass in my neck of the woods has tons of little grass spiders itching to hop onto any stray grass touchers

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Spotify and Liquid Death have revealed the world’s first music-streaming urn — and now you can play your departed grandma the pop bangers she’s missing out onEnglish
2·3 days agoLiquid Death was inspired at a festival, and was originally marketed at straight edge punks and metal heads, so it kinda flows that they’d try to partner with a music tech company
It’s cringy as heck, but I can definitely see certain people wanting to be interred in something like this

4·6 days agoThe Ultra Hyalron Ampoule 10X, and Essence 10x. I feel like my skin has gotten a lot of spring back because of these two, but I also have very sensitive skin and theirs are one of a few hyaluronic acid lines that don’t break me out. I tried the peeling gel too, but I like the e.l.f one better.
I hope they keep restocking it for you too :) Maybe they will expand the offering if you express interest? I’m going to have to try one of the cleansers you linked!

Politics@sh.itjust.works•Democrats push for tariff refunds, daring vulnerable GOP lawmakers to join themEnglish
22·6 days agoHow are they going to make whole the people who lost their businesses over this tariff bs?
Agree with what everyone is saying, prices won’t come down again because enough people have paid the prices either out of need or ability to absorb the cost.

science@lemmy.world•Scientists discover a hidden RNA ‘aging clock’ in human spermEnglish
51·8 days agoThis is epigenetics, changes to a genome via stress and environment that are passsed to offspring. We’ve known for a while that older men have children with autism or schizophrenia more often than young men, and investigating the cause and mechanism like they have in this study will help people have healthier children in the future.
The type of RNA that are involved in this study are regulatory, which means they can help or prevent gene activity, and are very important in the development of an embryo because the egg doesn’t have this in abundance like the sperm does
Anyone who thinks gardening is chill hasn’t woken up early to snip hornworms and slugs in half. I will have ripe tomatoes this year dammit

Gardening@lemmy.world•What are you planting this spring?English
5·10 days agoI’m not sure if I’m moving again this summer, so I’m keeping it light: potted herbs and edible flowers, radishes, more radishes, Asian greens to eat fresh and pickle, one or two eggplants and tomatoes. Also some radishes!

Gardening@lemmy.world•What are you planting this spring?English
4·10 days agoI had mine 5 weeks ago, and am just starting to tolerate more work and weight. I think you’ll be able to transplant nursery sized pots by the time your last frost hits, but the heavier stuff will be more difficult.
This unlocked a weird memory

politics @lemmy.world•Kristi Noem pulls plane off search for overboard Coast Guardsman to deport migrants
2·12 days agoToo much filler, it’s settling weird on her face and lips. I’m assuming she keeps injecting more without dissolving the previous batch. Look up pictures of her from 2018 and you’ll see how much filler she’s packed into her cheeks, eye troughs, and lips.
It also looks like her makeup is extremely dry, but the way it’s caked on over uneven skin does make me wonder if she has a condition like rosacea. I have rosacea and don’t wear makeup because it just looks worse than my bare skin lol

News@lemmy.world•TSA agents are working without pay at US airports due to another shutdown
21·14 days agoLast time I went through airport security the TSA took my cane from me and made me stand clutching the arm of a stranger while they xrayed me (or whatever that scan is). It was humiliating, and I’m lucky my knee didn’t give out during that ordeal.
On my first leg of the trip they gave me a wooden cane that was entirely too tall, but that was definitely better than not having one at all
