Make people display dangerous driver placards on their car when caught so others know they’re a fuck head.
Thats what i lean to thinking, rightly or wrongly, when i see an ‘E’ plate, so that kinda already exists? /j

Problem is so many of us has this ego driven self assurance that we know the rules and abide by the rules better than everyone else.
I’s listening to Comedian v Economist (spotify) a few weeks back, one of them stated the only way he thinks we can stop it, is by taking the responsibility of driving out of peoples hands. He was referring to self driving cars as the solution. I instinctively disagreed, but a few weeks on, i dont know, i can feel myself shifting on the thought.
I just reread your post and realised your specifically looking for finance. I think i just saw Galbraith and thought economics. Sorry my recommendations probably missed the mark.
Joe Walker Podcast (spotify) did a really interesting interview with Nassim Taleb.
I think you’d like Debt by David Graeber. When i first listened to it, it blew my mind, everytime i’ve listened to or read it since i’ve found more understanding.
The Consequences of the Peace by Keynes. That Bloomsbury playa predicted ALL of IT in that book.
Currently i’m getting into Mariana Mazzucato. Starting with Mission Economy. Its topical in Australia now because apparently her work has influenced the Treasurer’s thinking.
How Asia Works by Joe Studwell is super interesting as well. What a trip South and East Asia have been on!
The book i wish was more impactful on people’s minds than it has been is, Poor Economics by Duflo, and Banerjee. They cut to shreds the rich world idea, that the poor are poor by dint of their own, so called, ‘poor’ choices. They are very honest in their delivery.
A lot of these aren’t straight econ or finance though i suppose. They play around the edges and use the events the respective books are about to communicate the ideas. But i find that more interesting than more out of a context, assumption driven economic theory texts.
The question of people’s ‘Agency’ is missing in so much of our worlds events and institutional policies.
Its great to see the renewable energy revolution could, and is being used to also ameliorate the loss of agency Indigenous Australians often have in these far flung communities.
Government website link First Nations Clean Energy Strategy $70 million probably means it isn’t a huge program, but small steps add up, and a degree of energy autonomy is valuable in uncountable ways to a community.
“South Australia is currently running a trial on integrated hydrogen in the domestic gas distribution network,” Koutsantonis said.
“This means that there are homes in South Australia running off 20 per cent hydrogen as we speak, boiling their water, cooking their pasta, and being used in heating.”
Had no idea this was a thing in SA, fark the rest of us need to pull our finger out.

Are there any organisations in other States/Territories in Australia that people think should be collaborators?
WA - Trillion Trees Australia
Their discussion in this video is why i’m a big fan of Trillion Trees Australia (formerly ‘men of the trees’), i’ve seen Trillion Trees’ work, and its impressively careful and well planned.
They pick specific places, then pick the mix of trees to plant there after soil prep, and a range of other planning steps, then they always go back and reassess these spots.
I go by a few of their sites reasonably often it always shocks me how tall the trees are getting.
Sometimes i use Ecosia, but i only organised for my laptop, i don’t even know if i could use it for phone now. I feel like i did check for a mobile add-on when i set it as the default on my laptop and they didn’t have it, but this was more than 5 years ago now, before COVID at least.
Woke culture war warrior Dutton triggerred by presence of flag at press conferences /s
the flag’s presence in press conferences is a symbol of division.
Breaking: Comrade Dutton now bans the use of State and Territory flags in his press conferences when he appears in those places. When questioned he stated Australia is undivided, and ‘girt by sea’. when reporters questioned why he chose sea over the more appropriate oceans he mumbled something about lefty media always out to get him… /s
Officeworks printing is probably the way to go, way more choice with that option.
Haven’t seen a place with one of those poster racks in years.
Maybe one of the boutique record stores might. I haven’t noticed when i’ve been in, but i also haven’t been looking for posters.
Just asked a colleague, sports memorabilia places could be a go, and also big W have a poster section.
I will call them sansculotte.
Thats a bit mean. At least wait a few years.
If they roll out even half of these that would make for a very busy, and useful addition to the public transport system. Probably at a fraction of the cost of adding more train stations.
Possibilities for Expanding Perth’s Ferry Services .pdf
*sorry about the screenshots.
Its in the article, its presented as if it were planned. Regardless, i saw it as good, isn’t it?
Nice! Connected by rail to the biotech precinct as well.
Haha, i dont know what you mean, but i’m guessing thats an inside Europe dig at the Belgians.
