The mental health community is for people suffering from mental hardships for any reason. You can suffer from mental hardship even though your condition is biological. For example, a person who needs a colostomy bag may feel insecure about to and develop something like low self esteem or social anxieties.<<<<<

AGAIN, my whole point to this thread was about Tourette’s Syndrome, which is NOT a Mental Health issue, thus referring to there is insulting to people challenged with living with it & thus probably (because since not doing it, not 100%) a huge waste of time going to that feed. With exchanging on dingus@lemmy.world’s post, already covered that enough, I remember I read somewhere maybe here that people living with Tourette’s syndrome are saying the challenge should not identified to them, but to the world that is not adjusted yet to their living with Tourette’s syndrome. I am of two-minds really of this, dislike labels & having to use them (there is a famous & what 30-years old Alternative Music/Hard Rock song all about this) as having labels applied to me in at least a negative way (as who has not), because of the challenges. Plus I strongly agree that the worlds we all exist in are still moving way, way & way too slow to treat/respect/not use to manipulate people living with challenges/differences. With that being said I not believing it is just the outside of the person, with the challenges (reason I did not use people is because not all are not the problem as well; believing is disrespectful of full group they are, for lack of better words), that created the problem, it is also the challenge they live with. Not to say I want everyone the same mind functioning & quality, sure many readers with Tourette’s syndrome who reply with that argument against, but until someone has figured-out how to live in the world with a challenge (& yes, the world has changed enough) it is also causing the person with a challenge problems. I do not know, maybe I would change my mind on this in the future; after all, the next door neighbor’s roosters (50-ft. or more away from both free bedrooms’ & 30-ft. or more away from living-room’s hurricane widows) calls are limiting me under 6-Hrs. of uninterrupted sleep, every single night they are not wet or scared to make their calls to other neighbors’ roosters.

Your not the only one that might made that mistake, in the distant past, being a person with Learning Challenges I have used Mental Challenges to describe what I live with. One time to a Mental Challenges professional who quickly & simply point-out that is not right & never want to say that. At that time of lack of exposure to the world, I could understand you (& I) ignorantly, I guess, use Mental, but now no way. The world is clearly getting a lot of media-learning that Mental is for at least Psychological challenges (sorry, best I can think of, trying to avoid going deeper into the challenges that fall into the larger label) & Neurological Challenges are for challenges like I live with (learning -Short Term-Long Term & Language Processing- Challenges) & what Tourette’s syndrome falls into.

It is simple, if you were respecting of people Tourette’s syndrome you would not recommended, even if your not sure I can find the answer there, a feed about mental health. Are you telling me you do not know it is commonly known as a Neurological challenge or if people with the challenge do not like that, then a challenge with the automatic & controllable (sorry, do not know the proper term for that or better way to put it) functioning of the mind? I hear over & over again through entertainment media (like ‘Law & Order’ shows & other legal shows) that Raping & Pedophilila is not about sex pleasure, it is about power. Scientific research says that Raping & Pedophilila is about sex pleasure & it is about power. So it is reasonable to assume Zoophillia is the same.

Whether it is sexually pleasurable or power difference or both, it really does not matter. It really is that it is not what the animals want. You do not need to completely be able to communicate to the animals, like done within same species & races. There are behaviors that communicate things, just need someone that been around-knows them. Just because what your family-class-area/community-town-city-state/providence-country believes something, does not mean one should believe it. It is how religions violenced-harmed-killed-tortured unimaginable amount of our species-animals & Etc… Think about this, even religions that claim to be peaceful religions, example Buddhism-Quakers, have fought or contributed to mobs’-govs.’ violence-harms-tortures-wars. I was shocked when I first discovered Buddhas were actually violencing-harming-killing-torturing other people. & why are they doing this, because of religious differences. You want to talk about animals & Etc. holocaust, it is a holocaust that never ended. That is not to say, it is just one-reason, nothing is a island upon itself, religion. It is just point-out that a religion that their beliefs have result from, through & continue in the violence-harm-torture-killing of other people, animals & Etc…

I believe that all our minds are the most powerful individual things (working together even more powerful & working with all Beings’ minds is most possible power) there is outside of things like outer space forces & Earth forces, can never control but make worse or better. With that I understand belief in no religion & all that entails has also resulted violences-harms-tortures-wars. Just a lot less, than religions!

When I use any version of violence-harm-kill-torture, I include at least mental (if you like to add spiritual, than so be it) & physical.

Not only that, but it is harmful to The Living Earth, members of our species involved in the industries that make it (animals & Etc. & their products intended for their young & Etc.) & the consumers of such foods, not just those animals they consuming & their products for their young & Etc… These points should never be separated, but instead Intertwined, because more diverse communications are more successful in effect, getting people to care-critically think-change behaviors & that is reality of intersectionalism.

I would continue be a Vegan, even if being a Vegan had no benefit to myself & others of our species. Was neutral health wise & jobs involved in it was good jobs. Though how can jobs involved in raising (more industrialized is even more worse), destroying &/Or taking away animals’ products for their youth & Etc., how can be done without mental sickness? The people working in it every work-day have the highest suicide rates (not police, military & Etc.). Let alone the recordings that show additional animals & Etc. abuses some workers do upon them, definitely mental effects & animals & Etc… Animals & Etc. abuse never stays within the abusers, though could be hidden for Capitalism profits, because the abusers live with others-us. One of the strongest & thus common link between true (justice system convicting wrong people) sick people on death rows is that they hurt-killed-tortured animals & Etc… More I think about it, mental damage, hidden through recruiting & resulting in the poor & immigrant people doing the jobs. While I typing-out this reply, it comes to me there is no way for Non-Vegan Foods to be neutral in effect on all of our species. So I will now have to stop thinking of that way.
