HelterSkeletor@lemmy.worldOPto Dwarf Fortress@lemmy.ml•Caught a dragon, now what?English7·19 days agoWell, after a human army aborted their attack I had an interesting target for my defence.
I pulled the lever!
And the cyclops beat the shit out of the dragon, but bought me enough time to pull the lever again, locking it in.
New problems.
HelterSkeletor@lemmy.worldOPto Dwarf Fortress@lemmy.ml•Caught a dragon, now what?English6·21 days agoI thought about that, assuming there’s another dragon in legends, how realistic is the goal of breeding dragons? How would one even seek out a dragon?
Don’t they require hundreds of years before they are large enough to pose a threat? They are born as adults so they can’t be fully domesticated or tamed right?
I thought they would attack military on-sight so I’ve been reluctant to try any war training.
HelterSkeletor@lemmy.worldOPto Dwarf Fortress@lemmy.ml•Caught a dragon, now what?English7·21 days agoYeah, fun™ indeed!
My plan going in was a fortress that relied on forgotten beasts for defense (I’ve only ever slain them or died trying) so this capture has been an expected delight however I’m a bit outta my depth here, both in terms of building-destroyer/megabeast manipulation and their use of in fort defense.
Found in Summer in the Pacific Northwest on a hike, and forest was mixed evergreen and deciduous.
Based on pics it really could be either.
Thanks for the reply!
Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong on the identification, fairly confident but mushrooms do be sneaky.
I’m sure they appreciate your kind words of encouragement 🙄
Pretty sure that’s just a normal jade plant.

HelterSkeletor@lemmy.worldtoWatercolor / Watercolour / Aquarelle Painting@lemmy.ml•MushiesEnglish3·2 months agoI’m a fan of this one, the whole piece is cohesive and the details are chunky and confident. The subtle shading throughout grounds the mushrooms.

The rose looks good too! Well done.

High contrast around the eye(s) is usually great. Color selection is limited and so much better for it, I’m getting Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark kinda vibes from it and I’m really enjoying it. Kudos. Thanks for sharing.
Love it, dramatic and expressive. What’s your process?

I assume the health concerns from Zach and Tarn that prompted the Steam release is the dire pretense?
