How trustworthy is investigative journalist Bob Woodward, co-author of the reporting that broke the Watergate scandal? Author of No. 1 bestseller All the President’s Men which chronicles said investigative reporting?

It was no legend. A (since-deleted) reddit blog post called out Eglin AFB by name.
The other two cities listed under most “addicted” have large data centers.

4·2 days agoThere used to be a bar on the right-hand side that showed how far each day’s Reddit Gold purchases had gone towards covering the day’s server costs.
There were always people costs too, and plenty of others. Breaking even on infrastructure doesn’t stop the bleed of the venture capital. And investors do expect a return.

That’s not why they’re selling.
Congress let the FCC spectrum auction/allocation authority expire in 2023. So the FCC is unable to allocate new spectrum licenses to carriers. Even the spectrum that was already auctioned has been in limbo.

That makes transfer/sale of existing licenses the only path to acquisition, which significantly raises the prospective value of those assets.
T-Mobile doesn’t want their customers or their infrastructure. They want the spectrum. And because Congress is sitting on their hands, US Cellular is able to demand a higher premium now than they likely ever would again.
