I’ll go contrary to most answers here. I’d say if you take some stiffer demien (like from a back pocket) it could work. People are talking about “wear” but if used correctly I don’t see that happening. You’re not rubbing the demien along the string. More expensive tabs allow for replacement of the leather. If you take one of those, creating a demien tab should be no problem. Also given that the demien is easier deformed than leather, it should give you a nicer feel for the string.

I just gotta ask, how did you come up with that question at this time? We’re almost as far away from Christmas as one can be 😅

Is there really one outside? Because I know a bunch of Post Stations where they just tell you to bring it to A container. They don’t provide one at the location.
This whole problem could be nullified either
A) by actually delivering the package and not just putting into a SB Station (because the package deliverer was too lazy) or
B) Provide a container on the location to throw the carton in. OR
C) Don’t have Amazon & Co ahip oversized boxes I cannot carry.
