KIM_JONG_JUICEBOX@beehaw.orgto Space@beehaw.org•There Could Be Captured Planets in the Oort Cloud1·2 years agoI always heard it as Planet X. But someone else comments below it is now more common to refer to it as planet nine.
Though OPs article is suggesting there could be many such planets.
I also thought they were speculating that Planet X was huge. Though I can’t remember anymore it’s been too long since I followed this story.

KIM_JONG_JUICEBOX@beehaw.orgto Technology@beehaw.org•All programs should tell you where they store config files3·2 years agoYeah anything installed via a package manager, like an rpm or deb package, you can query to see what files belong to that package. Problem is they often have default config file locations, like in your home dir, where they will not ship and install files. (Though they might create them as part of a post install process)

The issue is the hull was made out of fucking fiberglass and titanium. This was the first dive since it had gone through a repair. Some tiny imperfection in that fiberglass, under thousands of pounds of pressure, and you’re fucked.
This is why real submarines are made out of steel.
On the plus side, it was probably a very quick death.
