Current year of course.
Current year of course.
Yet the model Y is the world’s most sold car. Maybe it’s not the touch screen that is the problem.
Disgruntled ex employes say a lot of stuff. No proof though ;)
Also Elon bad, yeah no shit all people with that level of money are generally assholes. But a company should be able to chose who it does business with no?
Based on the fact that Tesla receives top rating in all collision tests in all countries ( as far as I know ) https://www.euroncap.com/en/results/tesla/model+y/46618 https://www.euroncap.com/en/results/tesla/model-3/37573
I believe your risk assessment ability may be lacking. Tough the Wish ebike might be safer as it likely will not run.
our Mazda has headlights that turn with the steering wheel
That sounds pretty cool, but also horrible if they fail as you seem worried about, when they are pointing to the side. I am partial to the little extra lights that shine to the side when turning sharply. If they should fail they will not impact the vision ahead.
automatic folding mirrors
Yeah, we disable ours in the winter because of issues when snow and ice builds up and they automatically try to fold in or out and get stuck. Disabling them in the winter time works well. I just use them manually when it is safe to do so. Quite nice in tight parking garages.
I sometimes notice a slight delay in releasing the brakes when I take my foot off the pedal.
An Audi Etron in Norway just had a complete failure of the breaking functionality. https://dinside.dagbladet.no/motor/skrekkopplevelse-vi-hadde-griseflaks/80583545 It is in Norwegian but you can right click and translate to english ( at least in Edge ). There is still a mechanical connection to the breaks most likely, but it is hard to break hard enough when the car weighs 2.5 Tons.
And that crash at the Peace Bridge
Have not seen that one. That is terrible. There should be complete separation between the software that controls the drivetrain, breaks etc in a modern car, and the part that plays spotify. In my car atleast. I can reboot the screen that shows the map, spotify, and speedometer while driving and the essential car functionality such as breaking, gears and blinking still works with no issue.
Fair enough then :D
It’s completely out of your way if you don’t go looking for it. For those that enjoy it it is great. Too bad you are so close minded and simple you can not see other people’s point of view. How limiting it must be for you.
Not rich, older Model S with warranty since it was sold by Tesla. 24K USD split between two people is quite affordable.
Well, I don’t think they are making cars like that anymore sadly. Would be cool with an EV that aged well because of no screens.
I looked up the interior for the Tuscon and yeah it’s clear that they don’t really know how to handle implementing a large monitor in a car. It has bad design, bad placement and bad software. Try test driving a Tesla sometime. You might like it. I come from a Kia Sportage 2012 Diesel so I had quite the adjustment to make but I am happier for it.
My car is. It’s also one of the fastest family sedan on the road, it has almost zero maintenance cost. The future is now old man, sorry if you can not keep up.
I don’t like or understand it therefore it is stupid.
My wife played some Fallout Shelter while we were in the carwash one time. I played some arcade game while in the waiting with my daugher while the wife was inside the store getting some groceries. It’s pretty neat. And when we go on a roadtrip next summer it might be nice to play a game of chess while charging.
Ah you mean sedan with “vegan leather” or normal people would call it plastic :D
It’s wild to me that a car that is really quite a bit simpler than an ICE car is required to be perpetually online.
Well it would be wild if it was true. Car drives just fine without an internet connection.
there are absolutely zero controls on privacy for Tesla telemetry data
Another wild claim, what is it based on I wonder?
I have dark mode and auto dimming on my huge center console monitor. It’s a non issue. The only thing it really shows is my car on a map and what is playing on Spotify. I never look at it or am distracted by it when driving.
I do feel like there is room for a nice super simple EV with minimal/no screens and only the features required by law. It would need quite a few buttons for windows, heated seats, heated steering wheel, defrost, climate control etc but it would be quite a calm experience I think not having a huge monitor there.
when they drain as low as 20% they shut down to protect the battery
Haha what? No that is some serious misinformation. A Tesla might go into a slumber mode when parked for a while, this only means it takes a few seconds to start instead of the instant response if you parked for a short while. , but it will not shut down until sometime AFTER reaching 0%.
Also, there are now two types of batteries for Tesla cars.
The Tesla Model 3 RWD’s battery pack uses the LFP chemistry which Tesla recommends charging to 100% at least once per week. Tesla recommends setting the charge limit to 100% for daily use.
The Tesla Model 3 Long Range and Performance variants uses a different chemistry referred to as NMC. The Tesla Model Y owner’s manual recommends setting the charge limit to 90% for daily use. This will minimise degradation and preserve the longevity of the battery.
Islam is so touchy. Even pointing out Mohammed was a bandit and a pedophile gets them going and that is just straight facts anyone can get from reading about his life.
Not really. We have one of those smell free diaper cans. They close after you put something in them.
It was a joke you ham-sandwich. I and my wife wanted a family. Now we do. And so far it’s going quite well so I will take my chances. :)
All my friends are doing it.
You have buttons on the wheel and voice commands. But it must be nice to stay in your little ignorant bubble so I will leave you be now.
