Hi! I’m British, I like music (grime, garage, hip-hop, R&B, and more!). I like art, culture, history, politics, & doomscrolling memes.
Also a touch of programming :)

Madbrad200@sh.itjust.worksOPto You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK if you browse Lemmy on desktop/in browser, the Lemmy Universal Link Switcher script makes browsing between instances significantly less annoyingEnglish1·3 days agohttps://sh.itjust.works/post/36117903/18008043
Click this and then try to post a comment. There’s the issue.
The script redirects all links to your home instance. You posted that comment from https://lemmy.zip/ which is where you have your account, hence no issue. If I link you this post from another instance (see above), you won’t be able to interact.

Madbrad200@sh.itjust.worksOPto Boost For Lemmy@lemmy.world•Any chance we could get an expansion of the apps associated links?English4·4 days agoThat’s not what I’m talking about, I’m talking about the associated/supported links that the app will try to open by default. Sure, that seems to work, and so does this https://ani.social/post/11480352?scrollToComments=true … except if I try to navigate to that URL from my browser/outside of Boost.
Some lemmy instances just aren’t associated with Boost at all, so the app can’t open them natively, e.g this for example https://endlesstalk.org/post/86819672 will take you to the apps browser-view/open outside of Boost regardless of where you click it.

Have you messed with the settings at all? It won’t block everything straight out the box. You may need to add some filter lists and change your blocking mode.
I also use NextDNS though alongside uBlock.
