Ohhh I get it now, cool! I don’t think I would’ve even expected such a thing to federate through, if I’d realized what it was. If that gets working eventually it’ll be awesome, but I’m already pretty impressed as it is. Nice!
I like knitting, math, and uplifting the proletariat.

Ahh I bet that means it’s an issue between Piefed and Nodebb then. I’ll check their repo and see if it’s a known thing
Camp Damascus has entered the chat

I remember that post!! Really cool to see that you ran with it, I’d love for this to catch on

How’d it go over?
Hell yeah

I don’t think you’re wrong, what I think is that this is exactly the problem. On every actually important topic, what are any candidate’s options here? Be vocal and get destroyed by the establishment immediately? Keep quiet and wait for an opportunity to fix things later, that will never ever come? Keep quiet for so long that you get your brain scrambled by “working within the system” and lose every ideal you ever held? From precedent those sure seem like the only things that ever happen. If there are no options that actually work at all, then I’ll at least prefer the candidate who will say “genocide bad”.
Electoralism is a bandaid solution at best in the first place, but the bandaid isn’t even effective if you just play ball. Assume every last politician is suspect, demand the moon, brook no compromise, terrorize whoever happens to be in office into submission. FDR didn’t do the New Deal because he believed in it, he did it as a milquetoast compromise to an organized, insistent, threatening populace.
At least that’s what I think, anyway… This sort of thing.

Nodebb rules, is there a list anywhere of cool forums I might follow from the fediverse?
EDIT: found this list, but it made me realize something. I had previously already followed a few, including a cool Pathfinder one, but the community shows as empty for me? There have definitely been posts since I started following.
This makes me think, what if it was a co-op? With shared funding and all that.
Yayyy!! That’s all in all not a terrible development for sure, sweet

Whoa nice!!

Ohhhhh, I think I get it maybeeee. Would the tech in the Alien franchise movies kinda fit? Very cool aesthetic, wish I’d heard of it before!

He’s an author who’s mostly famous for truly unhinged romance, it’s a pretty fun rabbit hole to just image search his name and see all the book covers. In more recent years he’s positioned himself very contrary to the other author shown here, even to the extent of writing this lol.
So cassette futurism entails more than just cassette stuff being involved? I didn’t see anything else here to get a sense of the theme, sorry!
Maybe some places like these?

That’s amazing!!

Nice! Followed your channel too, it’s always nice to see more PeerTube content out there.
Unrelated but out of curiousity, if you had tagged this community in the video’s description, would it have shown up here by itself? I do that from one fedi platform to another all the time, like from PixelFed to Lemmy, but I’ve never tried this specific crossing.
It depends a bit on what kind of media the platform you’re viewing it from is capable of displaying. From Piefed all I see is a small snippet of information about what the object is. If any platform (other than ManyFold itself) implements a 3d viewer, it ought to let you see and rotate the object itself. Kinda like how a PeerTube video shows up on Mastodon?
Aww, i guess it’s atill kinda janky unfortunately… Works in theory at least! And works on my client?
Is it finally time for ManyFold, our very own Fediverse 3d object repository, to shine? Look, you can tag/follow/etc an object right from here, like this one: @w9b6w6sxkxkr@3dprint.social
Whoa cool! It looks a lot like how I log into NeoDB, is that how they’re doing it too?
