15 minutes from booting the ISO to a Plasma installation is probably average. There are probably people who’ve done speed runs in 5 minutes. archinstall has gotten so good.

You have people who call articles about COVID or climate change fear mongering. Then you have other people who called the NO campaign fear mongering. And there seems to be zero overlap between those 2 groups.
Petri3136to Australia@aussie.zone•Children among five killed as car crashes into beer garden in regional Victoria33·2 years agoIt’s unreasonable to live there then. Your choice relies on the rest of the world paying the price of unnecessary car trips and the infrastructure for it. And not just now but people in the future will bear the consequences of your decision to live in a place that requires that.

This is fairly common throughout history. The Mongols did it to such an extent that the Chinese considered them Chinese when they ruled China. It also happened a lot when various empires conquered Egypt or when Alexander conquered the Persians. It happens more often than not.
Petri3136to THE POLICE PROBLEM@lemmy.world•Missouri family sues over lost dog, shot and killed by cops and dumped in a ditchEnglish81·2 years agoIt is not a few bad apples. The police and military are fundamentally bad as set up in most places and the US especially. There are awful people who are celebrated war heroes and highly decorated who’ve followed US law and military regulations their entire career but are still war criminals by the standards of international law. There are countless vice and drug squad police and agents who’ve never committed a corrupt act by the standards of their agency and yet they have been nothing but a disaster for the communities they operate in. ACAB. Military too.

Maybe great dudes who will slap you on the back. Maybe they’ll kill you and then the government will kill people who question that.
You can pin apps in Android. Something similar in iOS I think. You should never hand a stranger an unlocked phone otherwise.

I’m new to windows as a service desk guy and one note is the only thing I have available. I just wish I knew how to get the best out of it for templates I throw into notes and incidents.
Pdfs are about the only thing left I can think of that are better on windows now

First, where previously I’d used, systemd-boot, now there’s a default choice of grub which I haven’t used in years and limine which I’d never heard of. Also, the installer picked up my Yubikey as an HSM token.

A capitalist gets all their money from investments. It’s not about what you believe in .
Why just governments? That lets churches and corporations off the hook and right wing governments tend to give them more power anyway.
