My instinct would be to think that they do that too, but at a much slower speed, and are less aware of how they got there. So when you explain a train of thought clearly the speed which u topic switched and the number of times it happened feels overwhelming to them. We also tend to intellectualize a lot of stuff and others do not, so they have probably never internally studied how their own thoughts connect before, so it would seem forieng when explained.

This title feels like a bit of a gaslight considering hes being ousted for saying his party doesn’t represent their voters anymore. While not standing up to trump is part of it, its a smaller issue than the truth that the dems stopped giving a shit about their voters long ago.

As an American I can break it down for you. The people who wont stop about 2A are sheep, sheep get told what to think, so when the “news” tells them that doing anything to make life better in America will actually make life worse and is some form of evil -ism (communism, socialism, etc.) that they have been programmed to hate, they believe it without question. These clowns are incapable of creating a personal opinion, they just accept the narrative that their favorite talking head gives them, and think they came up with it all on their own.

This is without even getting into the tribalism that makes these beliefs they have been given feel like a part of their identity, and thus making it near impossible to change.

But isn’t that the story of America? Making things illegal that would prevent you from maximizing profits to the detriment of every one of your countrymen.

It will be a perfect litmus test of how corrupt modern media is when the case gets tossed out and suddenly all of the media will begin reporting “it wasn’t actually him to begin with” stories that were magically not present before…

I still think this would be a bad case for jury nullification. Too much attention, too easily sent to the supreme court, court is too packed with clowns to do anything other than remove the power of jury nullification for the benefit of their wealthy owners.

Who knows though, maybe that would get people to actually decide enough is enough, i doubt it though.

This is something they could very easily forget, or just never learned, because they usually fuck up the poor and colored and press them into plea deals so it never goes to trial so it never becomes apparent the police have nothing since they ignored all the laws, i imagine when u spend a good amount of your career cheating the justice system you forget there were ever rules to begin with.

I think what ends up happening (as a rando without a legal degree) is that the backpack and all of its contents become inadmissible as evidence. It makes beyond a reasonable doubt harder to achieve for the prosecution because they lack a proposed murder weapon in evidence.

Propaganda and wedge issues are super effective in a population of adults that peaked in the 8th grade.

That is truly not possible, the cancer of capitalism is too deep in the government for anything to actually get fixed. The only way would be a massive invasive surgery to remove the cancer, or the country collapses and we have to build back up.

Ive seen it happening since I was old enough to follow politics, we have done nothing but make it worse, never taking one step in the direction of positive change, at best we just stop marching towards the cliff edge for a few minutes. I used to think to myself “I hope this shitshow can at least keep going until I’m dead and gone” but its becoming clear that’s not the case. Now its economic collapse or facism or both. I’m fucking embarrassed by my country and more so a large swath of my country men that are just brainless fucking zombies without a single individually formed opinion, enthusiastically celebrating the dying breath of America, deluding themselves to thinking we are actually saving it.
