The amount of waste these things generate is insane. My mom is prescribed to use the Libre ones. Every 14 days, the whole kit is thrown away. The applicator is fully reusable. Its literally just a spring in a plastic housing, but you get a new applicator for each monitor, so they they tossed. The monitor itself is the real problem though imo. It gets thrown out because a coin cell battery dies? Wasteful. I dont think theres any other consumable in it to justify the ewaste
