  • WiFi continually beacons out to try and find previously connected networks and will select for the best signal from an AP it can reach. Extenders can be a trick if you’re sitting in the ‘crossover’ space between the extender and the back haul it connects to.

What you might try instead is one of those distributed AP systems like Unifi or similar where all the APs are controlled by a switch and work in unison. The one I have at least has an ability to disconnect someone if they drop below a certain level and migrate them to another AP without breaking the session states.

The other option that I can think of is just turning off the auto connect for the extender net and only using that manually.

  • There was an event the next day where he gave a speech to a friendly crowd and by comparison he sounded like a spry well organized guy half his age. Hardly a mention of that out there though. I’m not a big fan of his miliqtost, half steps on a lot of things but it’s playing the game with what cards are available and having decades in political office gives you the experience to do it. I’m largely willing to write off the debate as being so flustered with the torrent of bullshit coming from Trump that it put him off balance.

  • True, I’m more referring to the primaries in 2016 and 2020. You get all too many around here clamoring for 3rd party protest votes or disengagement.

Even with the sketchy goings on during those two, if there was an overwhelming vote for Bernie (who’s no younger mind you, but it’s an alternate that appeals to a different demographic) it’d be a tough sell to go against that even if the party did get a court to agree they could.

Even without party backing though, if there was a particular person that people took to en-masse the rules don’t preclude them from office or appearing on national ballots. Look at Trump, people at first wrote him off as a joke, similar to the other times he ran before, now he’s a major threat to both parties.
