audible C++ programmer disgust
simple and boring is perfect, as long as it tastes great.
As a Regina enjoyer I agree 100%
It’s not uncommon to see people expressing disdain for other distros. I feel like it’s tongue in cheek 99% of the time though
Obviously this is because of Marxist professors or whatever it was Elon said and not at all because conservatives seemingly saw the handmaid’s tale and decided that it was an instructions manual
When a prizefighter loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, “I WANT A REMATCH.”
Sounds like he was this close 🤏 to realizing that politics isn’t sports nor entertainment there… Although to be fair, his base certainly seems to treat it that way
Yes please, kill d&d so the creative people currently working on it move to others IPs you don’t control 🙏
I mean, considering how some of them can struggle with ice cubes, you’d need one hell of a (consumer grade) blender to effectively get rid of a body
As a professional gamedev : good. Except if they aren’t tackling similar issues in online gambling (am at work so I didn’t read the article)
Edit : read the article, they basically only mention displaying the real money equivalent when buying “premium” currency, which is only the tip of the iceberg, but also pretty easy to legislate I guess.
But just know that I’m order to set it up, you have to login with your account on their computer at some point to enable the family sharing feature
I doubt it, because I think that’s literally how it used to work
We have one at work (office cats ftw). I don’t know the model, but knowing the owner I’m positive they didn’t get a cheapo version. In this case it’s worth the money because it does a fairly good job at mixing the litter which seems to help quite a lot with the smell (it gets noticeably better a few minutes after it’s done its thing), since no one is gonna empty it during the day.
FOMO can be a bitch for some people. The fact that it is so widely exploited in tech/videogames is no coincidence
They’re saying that the question the witch asks is “who is the fairest ?” which does not mean “the most beautiful”

Don’t threaten me with a good time
At the end of the day they’re just glyphs though. Maybe letters in a clockwise alphabetical order is the most intuitive for someone who has never used a controller before, but I’ve never seen anyone complain about the PS buttons layout after the initial “where the fuck is triangle” phase… except for that Japanese standard where X is “cancel” and O is “confirm”… because they deviate from what we are used to (and actually mimick the Nintendo layout regarding A and B placement, interestingly enough)
I think so, but most devs don’t enable it. I read somewhere else on Lemmy that it was actually enabled before the 1896 update and that they disabled it so I didn’t even try, but I guess I was just tired as fuck (very real possibility lately) OR someone was spreading misinformation on the Internet
It’s only wrong because the Xbox controller is more ubiquitous than Nintendo’s controllers and thus became the new standard. As someone who also grew up on Nintendo consoles, I remember it took me a while to adapt to it, but since I shifted towards PC gaming it became my new standard too
As a senior games programmer, depending on the engine and a ton of other very game-specific stuff, I’d guesstimate that anywhere between a 5 minutes, 1-man job and a several days long task potentially spanning multiple poles (mostly thinking of LD, 3D artists and tech artists. And obviously programming and UI)
