Take slavery for instance. Slavery was widespread throughout most cultures until recently. It’s even still a thing today (prison workers as an example).

As for asshole leaders being deposed that’s not usually done for peace. It’s usually done so someone else can claim that power and use it for their own means.

The phrase “absolute power corrupts absolutely” is really all I need to say that our species is not good or just. The moment a person our group of persons obtain power they corrupt it to their will and ultimately use it to enact horrors to keep that power.

Humans are the problem. Regardless of what name you give the ideology humans are inherently selfish and destructive and it shows time and time again.

So do you believe humans are, at their core and regardless of system, predisposed to destroy the planet?

Yes. That’s what happens when a species is too successful with reproduction. Any ecosystem can be completely destroyed if the balance is thrown off. Too many wolves? They kill all their prey and starve. Not enough wolves? Prey animals wipe out their food source and starve. A balance is necessary to sustain the ecosystem. Humans have completely disregarded and destroyed that balance for themselves.

As to your other points I’ll admit I lean a little towards omnicide. But it’s because I know how much better things could be if humans could simply work together. I try my absolute best to change the world for the better but I also know humanity and I’ve seen firsthand what humans do over slight disagreements. Truly deep down I just want everyone to work together towards a brighter future and I strive to help that happen but I’ve seen time and time again that that’s not going to happen. So I continue to try to help while also accepting that this species is parasitic and would gladly burn the world for better comfort for a short time.

As much as I love space and the idea of space travel we have a lot of problems on this planet that need to be solved before we even think about expanding our reach to the stars.

I’m not justifying anything. I’m simply stating that if you look at human history we’ve always been a dogshit species that does whatever we want regardless of the damage caused to others/the environment.

Capitalism and imperialism are just the modern names we gave to the behaviors humans have always expressed.
