We had a mix of that, and having to actually power cycle the monitor itself (some kind of hard sleep state?) to get it to display; both issues stopped occurring after using the Active adapter and HDMI cables. YMMV

The G5 docks are so stable now that i’d rather just use one of those and the travel charger than the g4 dock tbh (battery hardly drained a zbook fury g10 even without the travel charger)

Plus the other fun issues with more than 2 high res (4k) monitors. Not convinced it isnt the monitors we have at work, but so many janky issues with monitors.

HP support had us switch to Active HDMI-to-DP adapters (which solved the issue of monitors going to sleep for no apparent reason; straight displayport cables are just screwy). But the dock (per HP) doesn’t have the bandwidth to the laptop for more than 2 4K at 60hz; a third will drop to 4k 30hz.

“No confidence” voting would be great too, but at this point I’m not convinced it wouldn’t result in the same problem with the MAGA cult astroturfing the fuck out of every vote.
