I have heard that closing accounts, credit lines, and phone plans do the same too. Supposedly because now theres “less history” of your good credit, or maybe just because of lower credit utilization.

That might be an option alongside kdeconnect for the games. I think ps4/xbox one and later both work out of the box over bluetooth. Not sure how it would work in firefox though.
