  • Excuse me while I get really mad at you for not using Vim even though it doesn’t effect me in anyway.

Jokes aside, I’ve gone the route of just using an extension in VS code to give me the Vim key bindings. I can’t go back to non-modal text editors the muscle memory is too strong. I really should play around with emacs in “evil mode” at some point. Maybe I could get the best of both worlds then.

Edit: Vince -> Vim, Vince is a terrible text editor he doesn’t even understand my keystrokes when I type at him.

  • I’m currently on a ThinkPad right now as I type this. I would say overall they’re fine. Lenovo tends to not fuck with them since they are the business model, and companies will drop them if they try any shit. I’ve also noticed that the laptop is pretty easy to repair, and sources spare parts for. I’ve replaced the screen on various models like 3 times, the keyboard once or twice, and the battery once. Really I just love the track point and it’s hard to find laptops that have that feature. I’ve been running Linux on my current machine for years with no issues specific to my laptop.

  • As a disclaimer I did not read your entire post, but I have learned dating apps are for a subset of people. While they’re attractive for the wide swath of people you have access to, it’s very surface level. In terms if f improving your life find some hobbies that inherently have you meeting people. Personally dancing helped me a lot in that regard. The best connections I’ve had with people is meeting them and not even thinking of dating them. Granted that does happen naturally, but putting yourself around people that you find attractive ia a very good way to handle the emotions you had in your post. My DMs are open BTW
