For people who can spare $100-$200, I recommend buying an old ThinkPad or Dell business class laptop off eBay. Install Windows, update it, and stick it in your closet.

Because yes, sometimes you just need a Windows machine. VMs will cover most one off Windows requirements, but nothing beats a bare metal install.

Obviously this is not a solution for gaming, just the odd piece of Windows only software you need to run, or hardware you need to interface with that doesn’t have Linux drivers.

They are modeling this after Apple’s technical response to being forced to allow other app stores.

Would it shock you to learn that Apple revoked the certificates of developers who published apps they didn’t like on other app stores e.g. torrent client?

Google will do the same exact thing with apps that impact the profitability of their native services e.g. Newpipe.

Union construction workers and skilled laborers/tradesmen e.g. electricians, plumbers, etc., in America regularly make six figures, I imagine it’s not too different in Western Europe.

And how many blue collar workers like that do you know? Because the ones that I know all have what you apparently consider exclusively wealthy hobbies, such as boating.

You just looked at the picture, didn’t read the article, much less follow up on details in the article, and now you’re spinning your wheels trying to paint middle class workers in sailing cooperative as ultra wealthy.

There’s a big difference between rich and being middle class, and if you have to pay into a cooperative to afford the experience of sailing, you’re not rich.

It looks like the boat belonged to some sort of sailing cooperative meant for people who can’t afford their own boat.

At least that’s what comes up when you search for the owners of the boat that are referenced in the article.

There’s a ViolentMonkey script that can automatically delete all of your Reddit comments. I just run that every few days.

It’s not ideal, but it’s the best that I can do if I value access to those communities, which I do.

Kirk was devoted Zionist, full stop.

However, a large portion of his audience was Gen Z, and their negative views on Israel are more in line with their generation as a whole, then with the standard Republican platform.
