I saw Phantom of the Opera on Broadway in NYC so that’s a top one for me.
My favorite is Repo the Genetic Opera. I really enjoy that one.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I love anything Gene Kelly, that man’s butt is amazing!
“Books were only one type of receptacle where we stored a lot of things we were afraid we might forget. There is nothing magical in them, at all. The magic is only in what books say, how they stitched the patches of the universe together into one garment for us.” Professor Faber

I used to have a 2 cats who did and both of those girls looked just like your cat
I love mine too. It’s great for my back, but I get why others find them uncomfortable.

I literally had this reaction from a someone recently. I commented that I had trouble installing a specific program, so I switched back to windows for now. I was not looking for advice, it was just a post asking about recent Windows user’s experience switching to Linux, so I shared my experience and that I had the intention to try again because I want off Windows.
Dude commented like I’m just a dumb dumb who didn’t follow the numerous instructions online (I did) because it’s so easy to install on Linux (doesn’t change my issue) that their mom could do it (again, still doesn’t change that I had issues).
I’ll be trying again soon, but I can understand why some folks would be turned off of Linux because of that.

I had a book called Generation T that was a lot of using existing shirts to change a look, which is what I really like to do vs following a pattern. There was also a couple in the early 2000s who do a lot of DIY videos and encouraged people who use what they already had to create new things. I can’t remember their channels name right now, but they were around for a while.
My MIL has offered to get me a sewing machine, but I need to focus on it first. Too many hobbies 😁

It’s probably more I don’t have the attention span to sit and practice, so I want to instantly learn it

Walter Masterson! That’s his name.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a video where he was legitimately that angry.

Precisely!

I always carry 2 items on me; a sharpie and pretty butterfly stickers.
Sharpie is kind of obvious. I use it to write phrases on places where people will see them. Just last night, I saw a “trump is a pedo” on an electric box, that one wasn’t me.
There were a few incidents of antisemitism, Islamophobia, and other hateful stuff in my area. I saw a sticker on the back of a stop sign that said “reject woke nonsense”, so I bought pretty butterfly stickers to cover things like that. I try to cover that kind of hate with something beautiful.

I love this. The guy who was reading names is the guy who trolls right wing dumb dumbs a lot. I forget his name, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him actually angry or that upset. Love it.

Sewing. I can hand stitch things but I’m pretty slow. I’d love to be able to create or alter my clothes a lot faster and with a sewing machine.
I love cutting out graphics from old tshirts and sewing them onto blank shirts from the craft store. I have a Yoshi image that I’ve been sewing from shirt to shirt for about 20 years. I still get compliments when I wear it. I want to do that, but faster.

I have contributed to this act of trolling and I fully approve 😆

A lot of libraries have ebooks now, so you can still support libraries while reading books for free. Libby is the major one, but there is also CloudLibrary which one of my local library uses. There are even comic books and graphic novels available.
There is also a program called Little Free Library where people give and drop off books in cubbies to borrow. There are probably quite a few around you if you are in Brooklyn. Some of the ones near me even stock board games and puzzles for people to use. https://littlefreelibrary.org/map/
Books, especially ones written by smaller and indie authors, are something I don’t personally like pirating because there are so many legit options to access books for free. And I’m a big advocate of supporting libraries in any way possible.

When my internet goes down, I usually just pull out my book and start reading.

I’m digging it too!

I do that too. I buy a bag after Halloween at a deep discount, then it lasts me a couple of months. I even like it a little stale.

I’m a little over halfway through The Secret Commonwealth by Philip Pullman. It’s been a slow reading week, but I’ll probably finish the book this week.
I love it so much :)

I’m a mix of both. I do like to have some stuff scheduled so I have some sort of structure in my day to day, but I also like to go with the flow and see where life leads me.
When I go on vacation, I make a list of things I would like to see/do, then I prioritize and group things that are close together. Usually, I plan for one bigger event like going to a zoo or botanic garden for a few hours, then look at my prioritized list and go do other things close by. I can’t do a fully structured vacation unless someone else is planning it.

I want to ride my bike more this week.
Ride to the library to print some stuff out. Paper instructions work best for me because I can write down notes and I want some instructions printed for a project I’m working on. My library allows 100 free pages printed per month.
I’ve also been thinking about getting a button maker so I can make buttons to hand out at local anti-ICE gatherings. I probably want to ride my bike to pick up that too.
My bunnies always bring me joy. They each do something every day that makes me smile.
When I get the box of hay each evening, my boy Lion-O will meet me at the end of the hallway. He nudges my ankles and then follows me to the hay bin where they each wait for me to give them a hay flower.
Every morning, my tiny girl Poppy jumps on the couch for tabby time (vitamin tablets). She hops onto my chest and shoulder while she eats her tabby. She so small and precious, it’s my favorite time of day.
Also, each morning when I come downstairs, they are waiting there because they know thy get breakfast when I wake up even before I start my coffee. When I have their plate of greens and walk towards where they eat it, Poppy does zoomies and binkies all over because she gets so excited.
Bunnies are just pure joy 💚
