“Books were only one type of receptacle where we stored a lot of things we were afraid we might forget. There is nothing magical in them, at all. The magic is only in what books say, how they stitched the patches of the universe together into one garment for us.” Professor Faber

  • My bunnies always bring me joy. They each do something every day that makes me smile.

When I get the box of hay each evening, my boy Lion-O will meet me at the end of the hallway. He nudges my ankles and then follows me to the hay bin where they each wait for me to give them a hay flower.

Every morning, my tiny girl Poppy jumps on the couch for tabby time (vitamin tablets). She hops onto my chest and shoulder while she eats her tabby. She so small and precious, it’s my favorite time of day.

Also, each morning when I come downstairs, they are waiting there because they know thy get breakfast when I wake up even before I start my coffee. When I have their plate of greens and walk towards where they eat it, Poppy does zoomies and binkies all over because she gets so excited.

Bunnies are just pure joy 💚

  • I literally had this reaction from a someone recently. I commented that I had trouble installing a specific program, so I switched back to windows for now. I was not looking for advice, it was just a post asking about recent Windows user’s experience switching to Linux, so I shared my experience and that I had the intention to try again because I want off Windows.

Dude commented like I’m just a dumb dumb who didn’t follow the numerous instructions online (I did) because it’s so easy to install on Linux (doesn’t change my issue) that their mom could do it (again, still doesn’t change that I had issues).

I’ll be trying again soon, but I can understand why some folks would be turned off of Linux because of that.

  • I always carry 2 items on me; a sharpie and pretty butterfly stickers.

Sharpie is kind of obvious. I use it to write phrases on places where people will see them. Just last night, I saw a “trump is a pedo” on an electric box, that one wasn’t me.

There were a few incidents of antisemitism, Islamophobia, and other hateful stuff in my area. I saw a sticker on the back of a stop sign that said “reject woke nonsense”, so I bought pretty butterfly stickers to cover things like that. I try to cover that kind of hate with something beautiful.

  • I’m a mix of both. I do like to have some stuff scheduled so I have some sort of structure in my day to day, but I also like to go with the flow and see where life leads me.

When I go on vacation, I make a list of things I would like to see/do, then I prioritize and group things that are close together. Usually, I plan for one bigger event like going to a zoo or botanic garden for a few hours, then look at my prioritized list and go do other things close by. I can’t do a fully structured vacation unless someone else is planning it.
