The documentary book of the same name by Ron Swanson Ron Jonson Jon Ronson that inspired this movie is excellent – as is the Psychopath Test and everything else I’ve read of his.

On iOS I use Every Door (simple, based on adding additional info to existing places) or Go Map! (fully-fledged editor). They’re both a little rough around the edges, but they’re fair solid.

It’s nowhere near suitable print size, but it’s possible to trace it using an app like Inkscape (losing some of the texture, unfortunately) and blow it up. Here’s one I had a shot at.

Although in the cursive I’m familiar with, the “j” and “z” in “jizz” would also have loops. I didn’t expect to be writing a sentence like this today.

Those costs don’t go away by being spread out. Decentralized or not, hosting costs money. Many fediverse hosts are scraping by or out of pocket, and they’re spending their free time on maintenance and administration. We’d be hugely ungrateful to them by pretending that’s not the case.

I’m not making an argument for big centralized social media, or I wouldn’t be here – but I’m a “premium subscriber” to my Lemmy instance.

Per the article, it’s a direct quote from Oleksandr Prokudin, the Kherson military administration commander. The article also makes it clear that it’s a terror tactic:

"They are hunting us,” said Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson regional military administration. “Imagine what that does to a person, the psychological impact.”

The [Centre for Information Resilience non-profit in London] found that the “overwhelming majority” of attacks were either against moving or stationary vehicles — targets that are “difficult to replicate in a test environment”. The suspicion, on the Ukrainian side, is that Kherson was also being used for “target practice”, Prokudin and other officials said.

I kind of love it, mostly because it’s totally ridiculous in a unique way. The steering wheel is unironically quite cool, though I suspect I use the spokes more than I realize.
