Tbh nothing guarantees that the same doesn’t happen in Lemmy. As long as you have some form of centralization that might always happen, even if the owner says it won’t. There’s truly decentralized options and everyone should be jumping to that, not another version of the same issue like Lemmy or Mastodon.
