There are times where I’ll see someone mention something is against the dbzero site rules, so I’ll spend like 10 minutes trying to find and always come up blank. Like apparently it’s a site rule to tag gen AI content [], but I couldn’t tell you where that’s written down.
I don’t doubt some people have run into issues with Mastodon, like not being able to follow accounts because of defed, but I doubt it’s as prevalent as the criticism makes it out to be. It’s also a wild as the same is literally true of Bluesky, like there are Bluesky accounts you have to jump to Blacksky to view because the CEO of Bluesky got her feeling hurt because she didn’t like being criticised for hosting transphobes who break the site’s own rules.

Obviously it’d only be a subset of HTML. No website that uses user-submitted HTML (Tumblr, AO3, Royal Road, etc) actually allows the full suite of tags.

You might as just let users write the <img> tags directly at this point, at least then you won’t add noise to third party apps’ accessibility stacks.
(I honestly wouldn’t be opposed to letting users write HTML directly, it was one of Tumblr’s best features imo)

Fair enough, the Green party certainly has a strong conservationism-above-all-else element that like you describe and has been very influential in the party, with the other side being a progressive socdem/demsoc element. It’ll be interesting to see how this changes now the Greens have nearly tripled their members, most of whom are on the demsoc side of the party. Hell, I’m one of them and I certainly can’t be described as a NIMBY.

But the Green party’s primary support is from young people in urban areas, generally not people with assets. While the party certainly has had a Tory element in its electorate who matches what you say, it’s pretty reductive to say they’re the parties primary supports. There’s a reason the only MP the Greens had for over a decade was Brighton Pavilion.
You’d think given how many voters they’re losing to the Greens, they’d make more noise about the (pretty good, bar the carbon capture stuff) new carbon budget plan. But alas, this government seemingly can’t do comms.
This is actually pretty good user retention. Most platforms bleed way more users after a surge in sign ups (eg Mastodon, Pixelfed, Threads, Bluesky).

This is what following genre tags does, genuinely one of Bandcamp’s worst features. Unfollow them and it’ll just be a reverse chronological order of releases/purchases from artist/users you follow.
They really need to add the ability to pin tags to genre selector in the ‘Discover’ view, like you can in the Android app.

For the moment, I’m the only admin and I have control of everything (domain + server). There aren’t currently any backup plans in place as other things got in the way. There was some discussion of setting up a Bitwarden premium account which would let someone have emergency access to the server passwords, but I’d need someone to volunteer for that now (if anyone’s interested helping the admin side of things, lmk).
And thinking about it, I should probably remove tom from the admin list just so people don’t contact them with random queries.
