  • Sorry I typed this quickly without properly explaining my thoughts: the original post was written by chatgpt, I agree with the general idea, but I heavily frown upon this fact (its happening a lot more on the Arc Raiders discord as well)

People can and should write their own ideas instead of relying on LLMs, because those will always tend to homogenise ideas, oftentimes getting details wrong.

That and I’ve started to really dislike the writing style of chatgpt, to the point where it’s painful to read.

So yeah, it’s more of a shoot the messenger type of rant, my apologies haha

  • For what it’s worth (based on my experience with the Finals, their other game), they’re great, super open to community feedback, generally quick to take action and make updates when something breaks

They do have some shortcomings, for example I personally think they’re a bit lazy when it Coles to in game skins / cosmetics, often just using recolors of existing skins to make new ones

They also tend to listen too much to vocal minorities when it pmes to balance changes, resorting to unneeded nerfs to cater to specific player bases

  • A year of League of Legends action will be coming to a close when T1 and KT Rolster take the stage in Chengdu, China for the Grand Finals of Worlds 2025. While T1 look to collect a staggering sixth Worlds title for the organization, KT will be hungry to come away with a first Worlds trophy for the organization.

Let’s take a look at some of the biggest talking points of this stellar clash as some of the best players in the world prepare to battle at the Worlds 2025 Grand Finals on Sunday, November 9th.

  • If your dislike is purely about the perspective, Arc Raiders might not be for you, it’s a very typical in terms of 3rd person. Although Arc Raiders’ player camera isn’t that close to the character model, so you still see a lot of the environment (which is key for this game).

Sometimes it might be for other reasons, that 3rd person perspective emphasises, for example, peeking corners while being hidden is often a pain point for some players, and it’s also a thing in Arc Raiders. I’d argue its kind of mitigated because the maps are so big and detailed, you might not know where to peek or hide, until you’re certain there’s someone around.

Otherwise it’s a fantastic game, you really feel the attention to details and quality of craft that Embark showed in The Finals so far!
