2·12 days agoThat may just be a product of being younger. By the time you get to my age both men and women seem to be wanting to settle down and are more likely to compromise with the idea of an imperfect partnership.
I dealt with my share of toxic relationships. Happened in my late teens and early twenties. Late 20s and early 30s is when I and all my friends met good people we wanted sticking around and all got married.

3·22 days agoFun fact, the “bald eagle screech” as depicted in media is actually the sound of a red-tailed hawk. Bald eagles actually sound more like seagulls.
5·30 days agoMy anxiety dictates that I go on Election Day to vote in person. I’ve seen too many examples of people’s mail-in ballots not being counted and mail-in has too many potential points of failure. When I can physically drop my ballot into the counting machine, I know it has been counted.
2·1 month agoFFTA is great if you never played FFT. If you did, however, it is a cheap imitation that turns it into “baby’s first SRPG”.
FFTA2 did a better job, but those of us that started with FFT were highly disappointed with FFTA as a “sequel”.

World is basically reddit lite, full of reddit refugees who want the reddit experience without the reddit baggage.
Lemmy as a whole is left-leaning, sometimes so far left it loops back around (i.e tankies). I’m not an expert on the other instances, but I know well enough to avoid the tankie ones.

I truly don’t understand why “Reply All” is so maligned. In my career, 99% of the time where replying was necessary, “Reply All” was the correct option to ensure all others on the chain remained informed. In fact, it was worse when others on the chain did NOT use “Reply All” either leaving me completely off or breaking the chain for others that needed to remain informed.
