Ok, from what I gather, they want to play games with keyboard and mouse, and also don’t want to use windows any more. Steam OS is designed to be controller friendly and while desktop is nice and usable, Steam OS is probably not the best desktop distro out there. The obvious solution is to install any distro (Ubuntu, Mate, PopOS, even some gaming optimised ones), but yet they seem hung up on installing steam OS for whatever reason.

They’ll never get a huge chunk of the market, but the customers they will have will be loyal and can be leveraged to sell other stuff to. Wouldn’t surprise me if these razors are just repackaged stuff from another brand.

Just because you’re a union member doesn’t mean you’re socially progressive too, a lot of these guys just don’t like stuff like trans issues (which is why the right keeps talking about it even though trans people are like 1 in 1000 and while important for trans people themselves and their families, you’d be crazy to base your voting preferences on that issue alone).

In addition to that, there’s immigration, which has been encouraged by the owner class as a way to break unions and undercut wages (not in a great replacement kind of way, more in the sense that H-1B visas tie residency to a single employer, and illegal immigrants are in an equally precarious situation they wouldn’t risk unionising or even asking for improved conditions or a raise), democrats haven’t really figured out how to properly talk about this either (the answer to that one is probably to go hard after employers that knowingly hire illegal immigrants, maybe offer green cards to illegal immigrants that dob in their employers).

While he’s completely disengenuous, Trump has been saying some things that sound right to union members about immigration and shipping jobs overseas, and he fooled enough of them in this way. If you live in an area that has been in decline for decades, Make America Great Again is a great slogan, and people can fill that in with whatever they imagine.

This website probably only accounts for donations of employees. The corporation gives a lot of air time and articles that are favourable to the right. And the actual owners tend to donate to super PACs where they don’t need to declare anything and can donate without limits.

The left-right analogy was always about economics. And the backsliding of union participation and regulatory capture, lack of antitrust enforcement etc is definitely a shift to the right. Basically the New Deal has been allowed to be dismantled.

And there’s a bunch of proxy conflicts the US is definitely involved in and at least partly responsible for. Not to mention the “global war on terror”.

Yeah, which is kind of surprising if you look at her Wikipedia, she had plenty of experience within the secret service. I guess this is just a case of being promoted beyond your competence level, as I assume there’s a huge difference between doing the work as a secret service agent and being able to properly deal with the politics of Congress.

And I guess she’s ultimately responsible for whatever oversight caused them to allow someone with a rifle to get onto a roof 100m from a presidential candidate, whether that’s due to hiring, procedural issues or just general lack of oversight.
