It’s debatable whether the Wii U should be considered to be part of “retro gaming”. It’s my most up-to-date console. Nevertheless, I think it’s worth getting this info out there.
I would suggest that it’s easier to download carts from https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?cat=7&sub=2
https://onionui.github.io/docs/emulators/pico-8 says pretty much everything else I would say. It’s also worth noting that you can rename .p8
files to .png
and they’ll work the same. The advantage is that the .png
file also functions as cover-art.
The default configuration of OnionOS uses the fake08
core for PIC0-8 games. Its compatibility is good but not perfect. I believe it’s possible to set-up the paid-for, official PICO-8 runtime, but I’ve never done it so I have no notes.
I agree. It is absolutely crazy to think that the Miyoo Mini can handle the DS. In other good news, with ArkOS installed, your RG351V can also play DS games; other custom firmwares may also be able to do so but I haven’t tried with them.
I also remember the joy(!) of trying to work out which CD-ROM to insert for the package I wanted to install. Mostly trial and error.
Lets see. Debian since 1997… so 26 years. Back then you had to order 12 CDs through the post.
Back in the days when it was first released, I’m sure I read that it should be pronounced “Susie”. That’s the way I’ve always said it.
