  • I saw somewhere he was going to try and focus his appeal on Stormy’s testimony. I think Judge Merchan was really smart to object on the Defense’s behalf and ask them why they weren’t objecting and if they were planning on objecting to her testimony.

By doing that (choosing to not object), they kinda forfeited their ability to appeal on that part.

I really hope Judge Merchan goes hard on the sentencing due to trumps public actions afterwards.

I sure the hell wouldn’t want to put my foot in my mouth like that while sentencing loomed over my head, but I’m also someone that has never been convicted of a crime, and don’t have rabid supporters hanging on my every word and giving me millions of dollars in donations.

  • Let me start by saying I loathe Trump likely way more than you do. Look at my comment history.

Second, actually, YOU are wrong. Trump is not a felon yet. The Judgment has not been entered yet. The Judgment, which is what essentially under the law means a person has a felony conviction on their record, that happens at the time of entry of Judgment which follows the sentencing. So although colloquially we are referring to him as a convicted felon, and it’s true that he’s been convicted by a jury of 34 felony counts, that judgment doesn’t get entered until after the sentence is applied, which will be on July 11th.

You can disagree with me, but this came from Jessica Roth, a former federal prosecutor, and she covered this on the 538 politics podcast that aired on May 30th. She talks about this at around the 12 minute mark.

I’m betting she knows much more about the law than you or me. So maybe you should back off a bit?

So if you don’t agree with me still, why don’t you put forth evidence to support your claim like I just did?

    Fuck donald trump though.

  • So you’re hearing your mic play back through your speakers?

I’ve actually done this before and if this is the same scenario as I understand your explanation, I know how to possibly fix it.

What I believe is going on here is that deep within your audio settings in a galaxy far far away from where most people understand audio settings are, there’s a feature that plays back a device on another device. I believe your microphone has a setting enabled to loop itself back through your speakers.

Here’s how to check on whether this is your issue -

These directions are for Windows 10, I don’t know if this exists on Win 11 but assuming it does.

    1. in your system tray by the clock, find the speaker icon, right click on it, and choose “Sounds”

    2. you should see a “Sound” window open with four tabs - Playback, Recording, Sounds, and Communications. Click on the Recording tab

    3. find your headset microphone, and notice that it likely has a green circle with a white checkmark inside it indicating that it’s the default recording device. Right click on it and choose “Properties” at the bottom

    4. a new window should open titled “Microphone Properties” and it should have four tabs - General, Listen, Levels, and Advanced. Click the “Listen” tab.

    5. Ensure that the checkbox that says “Listen to this device” is NOT checked. Hit apply, and hopefully your issue is resolved!

As a side note, the levels tab in step four is also where you can adjust your microphone volume, I usually try to set this around 90-95 percent, and for some reason from time to time it can be set back to default 50 percent, so you might check that too. As always, try to adjust to your own setup as everyone’s audio devices and software configuration can differ.

    Hope this is it!

If you’re still hearing your mic through your IEMs, you might check the other present recording devices present to ensure this setting I noted in step 5 is not checked there either.
