The cloud sounds like a great move given that most folks in the US have the choice of trash tier cable or vdsl. Unless Microsoft is planning to upgrade everyone’s Internet connection I can’t even see this working for normal folks. This as a service stuff needs to die in a fire sooner rather than later.

The creepy spyware stuff is why I only see Windows long enough to knock out my dailies in Princess Connect and Genshin. That is all I trust Windows 11 to handle. XP was the last Windows OS I used full time and while it was good in it’s day no one should be using it connected to the Internet nowadays.

Do we want Windows 7 users to catch a break? Those folks haven’t seen a security patch in a few years. If they like Windows then upgrading to 10 or 11 would best.

3d is always a step down from the ideal beauty that is 2d.

You don’t just have to jump to kill -9 like that. At least give the misbehaving program a chance to get it’s affairs in order and a chance to say goodbye to it’s children with a standard kill command.

Amazing work that guy is doing protecting png files in games and 2D art. Certainly he will be rewarded for saving the precious ink, paper, and bits. I’m assuming that not seeking out content that offends him is too much to ask?

This sounds like a fun night to me, but I’m a little concerned that she hasn’t mentioned what distro we are installing. Also is she the kind of girl that would install non-free packages?
