  • I know there’s no internal logic here but why are they doing this?

I have the freedom to take Ivermectin to cure any disease or the government dictates my medical choices. The vaccine is evil and will make your heart explode but we won’t let liberals take it by choice, even when we cheer for their death. Government shouldn’t tell me how to live except “don’t take this ultra dangerous drug that you’ve had 5 times before with no negative impacts”

Just let liberals be dumbass sheep taking their poison. Why are you stopping them from “killing themselves”?

Is it because the party of “small government” is actually more concerned with what adults do to their bodies?

If it wasn’t for double standards they wouldn’t have any standards at all

  • M3GAN 3.5/5 - It’s way funnier than it has any right to be. I’m pretty excited for the sequel

The Final Destination (4) 2/5 - One of the main characters is billed as “Racist” and another is first billed as “MILF”. The cgi is also way too heavy and not very good

Clown in a Cornfield 3.5/5 - MUCH better than I expected, I expected dogshit, so pretty good was a surprise. I liked the characters, the clowns, and the plot

Looper 3.5/5 - I view time travel movies on a spectrum from Primer to Looper. Primer explains the details of time travel and has insane internal consistency whereas Looper stares down the camera and says “fuck you, don’t think about it”. Which is all to say that I liked it, it has a Christopher Nolan vibe like “the plot makes sense as long as you don’t think about it too hard”

Godzilla: King of the Monsters 3.5/5 - Godzilla fights a bunch of Kaiju. It’s pretty cool, I wish I had seen it in a theater

Terrifier 2/5 - I don’t know if this is a movie or film student’s final showing off their technical skills. There’s not really a plot, just a bunch of cheaply, but well made, practical effects in loosely connected scenes

Waterworld 1.5/5 - I had heard so much about this but had never seen it, man there is so much going on in this. I love that most of the movie is practical effects, which apparently cost a metric shitload of money. There’s just too many plots, too many scenes, too many characters, and too much that doesn’t make sense

  • I’m a modern player but here’s a list of common artifacts in Karn boards:

    • liquimetal coating (probably not cool in edh)
    • soulless jailer
    • tormod’s crypt
    • torpor orb
    • cursed totem (probably bad with your commander)
    • Mycosynth Lattice (if you dislike having friends)
    • Cityscape Leveler
    • Sundering titan
    • ensnaring bridge
    • pithing needle/sorcerous spyglass
    • aetherflux reservoir
    • mystic forge
    • welding jar
    • walking ballista
    • hangarback walker
    • marketback walker
    • The stone brain

I have no idea if these are EDH legal so double check those

  • Real answer: podcasts. Doughboys, Doughboys Double, Get Played, Get Played Season Pass (can you tell I like Nick Weiger?), Film Reroll, and Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell me

Helpful answer: I like singing along to stuff so that ends up being a lot of 80s/90s pop and alt-rock stuff. CAKE, They Might be Giants, Garbage, Jamiroquai, Vengaboys, a bunch of one-hit wonders. Lately I’ve been on a bit of a trance kick so The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, and Daft Punk are in there too

India/Pakistan seem to be on the brink of war, multiple European countries have elected self described fascists into power, China continues power grabbing the South China Sea, the Russia/Ukraine war, expanding climate disasters (everywhere) but largely in Africa and South America, and as mentioned the US craziness which drags everyone else into it. I think there’s a pretty good argument that things are falling apart globally, it’s just worse in some places than others
