Oh nice!

I maintain a library that is used quite a bit and I had to turn off github issues because AI bots are trying to push reporting security vulns…in a library that has no dependencies. Or AI that is setup to waste time by asking pointless questions that do not pertain to the library. The library is literally two files. Technically 3 if you include the tests.

I moved my library over to codeberg recently. So much better of an experience. Its really too bad, I have 15+ years in Github but the AI bots are going to push me out.

Ive done the flatpack on ubuntu/popos. it works. I havent seen any difference. Havent tried it on a non-linux os. Maybe its better with the controllers?

Ive only done a couple of the Gyms. Its been fun so far. Didnt expect it to be honest.

There has been instances already where instances have disappeared, been defereated, and or just failed to keep up with the new changes in the protocols we all call home.

People have migrated pretty quick to other instances, other communities, etc…etc…

For example I was on lemmy.world for a good year or so before piefed. And they are both excellent platforms! Jumping instances is actually really easy and you dont lose much.

Jumping instances, making your own, etc…etc… are things you cant really do outside the fediverse. You cant just spin up a twitter clone an expect it to interop with twitter outside giving massive $$ to API costs (and thats if THEY allow it). Here I have spun up my own lemmy/piefed/mastodon/gotosocial/peertube instances and communicated with people on the respective platforms.

In a nutshell we have more control to do what we want. If I dont like what piefed and rimu/others are doing, I can fork and make a mesa-piefed with flapjacks and other things. And it will work with lemmy.world day 1.

We have the power. Thats what makes us different.

Ring racers is soooo much fun! My wife and I played that game. I just wish it worked better on the Steam Deck! I could only get it working on PC and getthing the controllers working was a nightmare! But after a full day of messing with everything it was worth it.

It would be nice if core and tastic could work together to get the scaling issues and interop working. Having a better meshtastic sending and recieving messages would be a dream! And having interop would help out meshcore in the long run with adoption.

Everything reads like meshtastic VS meshcore when it should be meshtastic AND meshcore.

Thats the way I see it too.

A couple of really good on the god style games or something.

Yeah imagine spending all this time getting it all set up to one day have an update that breaks literally everything. That would suck…

And android seems to not get any better, just more locked down.

Some of my favorites:

1. https://tangramgames.itch.io/tobu-tobu-girl-deluxe A more GBC classic game that was made somewhat recently. Its deceptively hard but has very tight controls. The music is fantastic and makes me want to get good at the game just to hear a bit more of it.
2. https://www.wesnoth.org/ I love this game. Im not very good at it, but its super fun and open source. Runs on just about anything. I got it working on a Miyoo mini plus of all things once. Its a strategy hex game.
3. Pokemon hacks - Theres a metric ton of these. But Ive had fun with Pokemon Unbound recently. It feels like a completely new game.

Its not exactly Android but does involve pixel/android like OS. Its very interesting to see the perspective of someone who is security minded but in a way that works for them.

Yeah its basically the same chips with different form factor. They are good little machines, especislly with onion.

I like the colection. I have a miyoo mini plus, a VERY old Caanoo 15+ years old, and a couple of everdrives if they count. Andmy steam deck with everytjing up to switch 2 (very expiramental).
