Humble MIC functionaries in background sitting in beanbag chairs stuffed with cash.

Nah, that’s just her anatomy being perfectly adjusted for taking money from every lobby imaginable.
Around 114 if you include Slovak party branch that was kinda separate but not really.
But yeah, I hyperbolized a bit calling it a landslide, got it mixed up. Still a big win though, that they and Stalin just weren’t content with.
In Czechoslovakia it was even funnier - communists won election by a landslide, and still did a coup two years later.
It is Putin’s behavior away from the cameras that speaks much more about his real worldview than speeches.
Eh, dunno, to me his speeches absolutely feel like extension of that “private person” - inconsistencies, constant lies, referring to such pillars of Russian culture as “Brat 2” movie (IMO quite disgusting crime movie, that is, however very beloved by Russians). His affairs were kind of an open secret, and rather contributing to “macho persona”, because he’s actually a little botox gnome with lots of complexes, trying really hard to compensate them.
Respect for authors though for taking the risks and compiling that knowledge.
Clearly these kids weren’t given proper patriotic education at Yunarmiya (also sometimes called “Putinjugend”, because of, well, striking similarities).
No shit, Maia.
Russian media also recently ramped up its bullshit about “blatant russophobia” in Moldova. With funniest complaint being about services denied to Russians by Moldovan officials, because latter ones require using Romanian language for correspondence.
I’d say that command economy can actually allow for some jumps in GDP. North Korea, for example, ramped up its missile production very rapidly and according to some claims - had supplied more of missiles to Russia than all the West combined provided to Ukraine (there are some caveats like quality but anyway).
Not really caring about such silly things like human rights or, ironically, worker rights and of course forced labor, absolutely allow for sudden relocations of resources, that would be impossible in a “free country” and very quick adjustments to “market demand”, that is virtually infinite in case of Russian army.
Would be funny if that was topped by couple liters of alcohol. Winston Churchill of a fitness instructor.
Straight from Chinese sources: US attempt to strip China of its developing country status doomed to fail.
Not like it was a secret about China being a “developing nation”, but what they themselves don’t say is how that status is still kept safe thanks to debt slaves.
$2.5 + some undisclosed amount charged from one’s taxes to subsidize processing of the package, because China is a group 2 country in Universal Postal Union (a poor developing country 😢).
There was a bit from Soviet TV of early eighties. Rough translation of hosts words:
USSR is a big country, we’ll live with these sanctions just fine, but Washington’s allies will be hit from these “cowboy jumps” much harder.
So I’d say it’s always all good and stable for Russia until some certain point.
There were few mentions from Z-bloggers how during Ukrainian attacks people hide in hotels or some civilian infrastructure like that. And that makes them safe. Draws quite a contrast to Russian “responses”.
Countries that recognize Palestine are marked green.
He will have a hard time negotiating with just about anyone, if that’s a problem.
Many people just think, that “it’s happening somewhere else” to soothe their anxiety, that it’s not going to get to them or whatever, or that it’s simply not their problem.
And I’ll be honest - I also was like that, even while our city officials were testing air raid sirens and doing alarm drills, I, while deeply unsettled by these preparations, hoped that it’ll pass and that’s all bluff. Until one morning.
I mean, Robespierre was guillotined for, among other things, “counter-revolutionary activities”.
In USSR though there could be also a charge for “Trotskyism” or “if you were brought here before court of people’s commissars - you’ve definitely did something wrong”, which was when NKVD didn’t want to really bother with manufacturing accusations.
Honorable mention: if, God forbid, somebody even dares to suggest that means of production should actually be directly owned by workers and not party elites/apparatus - immediately dispose of them.
Do better, EU!
Entirely ban minors from Internet.
Ban social media!
In all seriousness though, if there’s something that by some consensus can considered unhealthy for kids, such as big social media - it’s more than likely to be unhealthy for adults too. However simply banning anything often just manufactures people’s craving for the “forbidden fruit”, so instead of that they could rather fund more educational initiatives to teach people about responsibly and safely surfing the net.
My favourite aspect of this is Taco Don attempting to extend his questionable “deal expertise” to international affairs and failing miserably almost every time.
So basically whenever he tries to do something in a field, that requires at least a bit of getting acquittanced with background information, understanding of underlying processes, and where results can be exactly measured (unlike in real estate business) - he scores an F, almost every time.
Rubles, rials (riyals too), pounds (Syrian ones though), dirhams, not sure about shekels though - just about any currency from dictators and other kinds of autocrats around the world.
