    1. I don’t, in general all of them are restarted automatically. I have monitoring configured for services, not containers themselves.
    2. Yes, looking at the original Dockerfile/Containerfile if they have HEALTHCHECK keyword you can assume that they do something.
    3. Person building the container, often it doesn’t make sense to create a healthcheck at all. Some times healthcheck feature is provided by application as well, it still needs to be part of the containerfile.
    4. Better to monitor your service (application+db+proxy+queue+whatever), not containers in isolation.

Estonians are great, these guys aren’t estonians, they obtained estonian passports so they won’t be percieved as r*ssians, which makes it worse. Also they’ve run mapsme, then sold it and created organic maps and I had an idea that they somehow migrated to this new project as well.

  • There are a lot of cases where windows is preferable or easier to deal with, I think just nuking it is more common with recent converts (I lolled a bit at this turn of phrase). You probably can do everything with wine + vm, bit I just can’t be bothered with passtrough and shit for the latter and update problems and requirement for 32-bit libraries of the former.
