That is exactly what it is.

You can say what you want, but using a phone instead of the integrated dashboard of your car is not a better experience. I kinda like android auto. My stupid car didnt support android auto wireless (only cable), but I bought a device that acts as a bridge. So now my phone automatically connects to Android auto and it just works every time. I can open my calendar on my dashboard and navigate to the addresses of my appointments with one click.
Tbh. I love my Samsung buds. I don’t understand people complaining about the hassle of wireless. It is the wires that are always a hassle imo. My earbuds just pop out the case and are ready.
Yes. But America wants their blue message balloons. How else do you know who you need to ignore? /s
Can I opt out for all the users in my library?
I bought a cheap low power minipc. Don’t know the numbers but having a 10yo desktop powered 27/7 can’t be that great for your power consumption.
The one I bought is an Intel Alder Lake N100 Quad Core up to 3.4GHZ, 16GB DDR5 512GB for €160.
Have my eye on this for years. But it costs more then €60 in Europe if you add shipping. That is just insane.
Love my little Anbernic RG35xx with GarlicOS! You can have an (almost) complete library of all games from NES to PS1 on a 128GB card. Total price I paid including upgraded 128GB card was like €50.
I just bought a second one that can also mop. My old one is now used upstairs.
Awesome. I also waited a while for mine. I have 5 cameras. The coral is widely available now, but instead of €65 for the usb version I paid almost double. Still cheaper then a graphics card that would do the same.
What about which fleshlight is best?
Doesn’t frigate need a lot of processing power? I bought a minipc (€160) with a Google coral (€110) for AI image processing. My synology just couldn’t handle it. I run all my docker containers on that minipc now. Also Home Assistant, mqtt, zigbee2mqtt, frigate. Some other that I like are immich and vaultwarden.
I definitely read this as your first daughter being pregnant and you becoming a grandparent.
The big difference with Europe. I live in Belgium and I can visit 4 countries that are less then a 2 hour drive.
I’ve never been outside of Europe though… So I guess I have to compare it with that.
With those prices, the only people who will pay for it are (some) of the long time fans. I can’t believe anyone new to Lemmy will ever go to Sync when there are so many alternatives. Those prices just scare people away. I’m pretty sure he would earn more if it was like $1-2/year.
Doesn’t even need to be Synology. Plenty of solutions that can be installed on your own “open” hardware (old PC, mini PC or just a more powerful server)
I just can’t get used to Firefox. Last time I tried it (earlier this year), I tried for 2 months. Can’t remember all the reasons, but using the adresbar as calculator and see the results without pressing enter is so ingrained in my way of working. Just alt+d, 2+2 shows the result. Give me something better than that and I’ll give Firefox an other shot.
Edit: lol at my downvotes. That’s what I get for asking a genuine question I guess. People really looove their Firefox here. (me too, but I’m missing some features)
I use bazarr in combination with a vip membership of opensubtitles. I’ve been doing this for years since they have been adding ads in them for multiple years. Messages like “This subtitle was downloaded from” are also removed.
People are getting the their pitchforks out but I think they are misunderstanding. Opensubtitles.ORG is being replaced by opensubtitles.COM. They just are stopping access to the ORG website. I have already migrated to the COM website for a while. And a 20 downloads/a day limit for free users is very reasonable.
Try hosting a firewall.
