NASA is a government program, Space X is private enterprise first of all. And what exactly has incredible things has space Space X actually done?

One got us to the moon and back.

One has contributed an amazing amount of information about the universe to us.

One has made it cheaper by recycling rockets, which is not something amazing but largely driven by private enterprise wanting to create a service to gain a profit and return for investors.

They’re both chalk and cheese. NASA doesn’t have to do it for cheaper because they’re not about making profits. They’re not a company.

A better comparison would be to compare Space X to that other space company by that other billionaire.

Say you want to make a living off your creations. You’ve gotten really good, people love it. You can actually make bank for your hard work.

Probably because we grew up in completely different countries. Australia was very behind back in the day. We had a 2 year lag.

Older millennial from Melbourne, Australia. I like all kinds of music but I’m always drawn to dark, heavy music. Once in a long while, I spend the time to goth up but, honestly, I don’t have the time or energy between work and study. Plus I get far too self conscious, even though ‘goth’ is basically mainstream now, over here.

Professionally an architectural lighting designer but studying to move into game development. Am an all round nerd who likes manga, anime, games and books. And of course, music. I’m currently listening to an album from Horror Vacuui.
