My 10 year old Dell laptop is still pretty useful and I plan on using it for a few more years. You might not still be happy with your 8gb of ram in 2030. If the M1 laptops were upgradable people would have less of an issue.

Dad liked Star Trek so I watched with him since I was 3 or 4 years old. I became a much bigger fan when I had a job with odd hours and watched DS9 reruns at night in the mid 90s.

I went to a bunch of shows in the 80s and 90s for $20-25. I rarely go anymore, the prices are out of hand.

Video games got old to me after about 30 years of gaming. I pretty much retired from gaming in my mid 30s. I fire up an old game in an emulator a few times a year and some Words With Friends and thats pretty much it.

From what I understand a lot of actors wear hair pieces on TV shows for a consistent appearance.

It’s not just you. I almost always get fries that I think have been mostly cooked earlier then dunked in the fryer for a warm up before they serve them.

McDonalds pre 90s fries, McDonalds fried apple and cherry pies, McDonalds pre-90s shakes, Dairy Queen’s Queen burger, Sonics pre 2000s burgers and the Sonic fish sandwich.

Most white people expect peach color/white to be the universally accepted default and everyone should just not think about it because they themselves rarely have to think about representation.

White people in majority white countries rarely experience lack of representation so they don’t think its a big deal.

If medium brown was the default lots of people would be losing their minds with rage and y’all know it.

TV, movie and book discussion communities aren’t very active around here.

I would give it a few episodes to see if it’s worth sticking around for.

FYI putting it on MGM + is a sure fire way of not getting me watch.

I’m not subscribing to a service just to watch 1 or 2 shows.

These things aren’t deal-breakers they’re conveniences for me. It’s easy to transfer stuff to a new phone with an SD card, if your old phones screen dies (has happened to me twice over the years) you can still easily move your stuff over to the new phone.

My last phone only had 64gb of storage. I always have some audio-books and podcasts on my phone for when I go to very rural areas with bad reception like the lake. Up until the phone I bought this year with 256gb I would have been always cramped for space without an SD card.

Why use an adapter if you don’t have to, that’s just one more thing to go wrong or get in the way. I had a pixel for a while and I did use an adapter for my headphones. They were awkwardly placed with the adapter, if the usb port broke because of the headphone adapter being awkwardly placed I couldn’t charge the phone. If I broke a headphone jack I’m just inconvenienced.

I don’t understand why someone being content using older technology bothers you so much that you want them to defend their choices.

Even if the $800-$1000 phones had those features I wouldn’t spend that much on a phone. If only the flagships had those features I’d go without. Thy’re nice to have but not must haves.

Do you also get annoyed with people who play retro games or listen to vinyl records? Do you wonder why people drive classic cars or wear analog watches?

There used to be a lot of rumors that some fast food chains used soy or meat from some other animal to stretch the beef to be able sell the burgers so cheap.

The chains advertising 100% beef are probably still reacting to these rumors.
