there’s been a lot of work the past couple years for gnome mobile. It looked nice on my pinetab and pinephone about a year ago. Would be great on a more powerful tablet

I can’t confirm if all features are working, but possibly. My case is that I have LineageOS on my phone and my son has an Amazon tablet that I’ve used Fire Toolbox on to install Google Playstore and services. I’m able to approve/deny apps for him to install (I get the notification on Family Link on my phone), but some things aren’t working because I’m having trouble with Play services on the tablet.
mastodon.sdf.org was down too! glad to see both are back up now
That’s worse than my story, sorry they had to go through that.
I married my wife while I was living in her country, Georgia. Then I came back to the U.S. and started the process for her to come. It took 17 months. I didn’t need a lawyer for it. We did later try to get a visitor visa for my mother-in-law and it got denied. I always say that if I had it to do over again, it would have probably been cheaper and quicker to fly them both to Mexico and then cross the border.
I’m a bot
but are you a humanoid bot?
I’ve been thinking about getting Allen Carr’s book “Quit Drinking Without Willpower”. I used his book " The Easy Way to Stop Smoking" to stop smoking in 2008. I had smoked for almost 30 years and then quit immediately after reading that book, with no cravings.
I have a few ratchet straps I’ve never used for anything. Same with some rope I bought, but we’ve only been able to camp a few nights in the past month. I’m hoping to a lot more in the next year. I just bought a cheap folding saw and an axe. I want to buy good quality equipment, so I’ve been watching video reviews, etc looking for good options for axes. I’ve found that brands like Fiskars, Estwing, Gransfors are good choices, to name a few. I’d like to have a longer, heavier maul for splitting and then a smaller one for kindling.
I have a long list of things I want/need. Right now, near the top of my list after axes are: more tarps, better lantern(s), percolator coffee pot(currently using a kettle + french press), a coleman stove perhaps, and a bigger tent and a bigger tarp that I can tie to some trees and put my tent and chairs under if needed. And new boots!
edit: should add also my iron skillet! I love it a lot more when camping than using at home.
special things?
i use osmand+ from fdroid. free map downloads and has many of the trails in my area
I drink a cup of carrot juice every day. I eat other fruits and vegetables too, but always have my carrot juice. I made it a habit to drink a cup every morning.
do they still get to peg you after becoming best friends?
eye contact, then lick the chair
If you decide to try the rss-to-html.py, let me know if you want some help or to see what I changed. I don’t know python well, but I did change a few things in it to get it to work right for me and to include the photos. Or if you come across anything else that does similar, I’d like to have a look at it.
what if all the current vegans started eating CEO’s and politicians instead? Would that not help more?
https://mastodon.sdf.org/@saba/110470671030115751 here’s a mastodon post I made about it and on my site you can see my feed on the bottom of the page: https://chven.us/profiles/sam.html
on my pelican generated website I have the rss feed of my mastodon account. I have a script that downloads & converts the rss and then pelican runs and regenerated and includes that on my site. Something similar might work with your idea for comments.
USA Up All Night with Rhonda Shear!
I use aliases on my own domain. For example, for lemmy I might use lemmy@mydomain.com or for my bank i use mybanksname@mydomain.com. Everything goes to the same inbox. There have been a couple times with job applications where I’ve had to reply and then they find out I’m not really indeed@mydomain.com but I guess I could set that account up if I feel the need.
it’s me, saba (or sam)! Been here a long time, but not on much. Currently trying to follow lemmy stuff from my #snac instance
