I mostly choose to interpret this as meaning, do not spend all your time watching Fox “News” like most Trump voters do. The more people can disconnect from the brainwashing, the better off they will be in general.

It’s a lot worse than that, actually. Even if they’re just bluffing on tariffs, there’s very little doubt that Trump will crack down on illegal immigrants, which will cause a substantial price increase across the board in agriculture and construction, which in turn will affect every other company in this country. The resulting hyperinflation will make the previous inflation look like a mild warmup in comparison.
