For bases, primer and other rough work I use Winsor & Newton Foundation series. They come in large and cheap packs and last for 6 to 12 months. For detail work I use Raphael 8404 series. They are around 20 euros per piece, but last years if maintained well.

Getting rid of the ancient finecast models was a welcome addition. Even the bio/pyrovore looks very unlike anything in the current Tyranid lineup. Also the Norn Emissary looks awesome. Maybe big enough to be a LoW. Definitely getting one of those.

I was hungry when browsing thru codexes at LGS. The extra galactic locust swarm seemed to be hungry too, so I went with Tyranids.

The Damnation of Pythos is maybe the worst, and it doesn’t really even involve the main plot line. Also some of the anthologies are quite meh, Tales of Heresy, Age of Darkness, Shadows of Treachery and Shattered Legions. The Siege of Terra books in the end are better than most of the ones in the start of the series. Personally I enjoyed the some of the Ultramarine books in the middle: Know No Fear, The Unremembered Empire and Pharos.
