  • She knows exactly what she is doing. She probably wouldn’t even get into any trouble if she had let the guy go on for a bit since it is just a random, live interview. Doesn’t matter, though, as boot-fellating, spittle-licking toadies will instantly and hungrily provide cover for the owner class. There will always be a critical mass of just about every demographic (even those you would not expect it from) who will be willing to sell out for that payday. If she doesn’t try to silence or steamroll any even remotely anti-greed rhetoric she might be passed over for that next promotion.

Shout out to Washington Heights. I used to live at Fort Washington and 181st. I miss it.

Do third party voters come in between those two options or after “didn’t vote”?

Seriously, it’s all true. It is the fault of Trump Voters, the DNC, 3rd party voters, and non-voters.

Hell, I’ll go one further and say those who do nothing but vote for the most progressive Dem in the primary and then vote for the Dem no matter who it is AND that is all they have ever done to address how terrible the Dem party is, also share in the blame.

  • Same happened to me, an 11 year user. I wasn’t even evading a ban and I got permabanned:

After reviewing,…we found that you broke Rule 1 because you encouraged or glorified violence or physical harm. Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for encouraging violence against people or animals. We don’t tolerate any behavior that encourages, glorifies, incites, or calls for violence or physical harm against an individual, groups of people, places, or animals. Any communities or people that encourage or incite violence towards an individual, group, animals, or place will be banned.

They then told me the content they banned me for was “scrubbed” and then they provided a link to said content which was, or course, blank. So, I couldn’t even see what they banned me for. I asked them to provide the text I got banned for but they only gave a canned response. I then appealed. Practically instant denial. Fuck them. The entire ten+ years I was on reddit I saw incel, gamergate, MAGA chuds posting comments way more violent than anything I ever posted. They are still there, doing the same. I wish I could spend a few minutes in the presence of both the mod and the admin that silenced me like that.

There are ways around a ban, but it really isn’t worth the trouble and you can still get banned even after that if you are not always careful. Do a web search…“they” practically walk you through the application you will need to get and how to set up everything so their fascist fingerprint algos can’t connect you back to the banned accounts. Just making sure your browser, computer, and external, visible IP is different is nowhere near enough to avoid a (re)ban.

As someone else mentioned, I can still log in, read my old posts, browse, sub and unsub, but can’t ever comment, message, or report anything. Strangely enough (and I think this is a mistake on their part) I can still up and down vote posts.

The only thing I really miss (and I despise Reddit because of it) is that I cannot post to ask questions or for help in my local city/state subreddits.
