That’s really fun, I’m going to have to give that a try

2·21 days agoThat’s a good idea, I’ve already had two of my wife’s bubbly waters today which is two more than I normally have, and I bet it’s because of exactly that.

2·21 days agoA couple friends and I are all doing dry January and after partying a bit too much last night I’m kind of looking forward to it. Probably going to move the drinks in the fridge out to the garage though to lower ease of temptation.

1·22 days agoOoo a full Charterstone play through, nice! That had some fun surprises each game, and really set the minimum bar for me with legacy games where I want something new every time we play.

3·23 days agoWooo No Thanks! I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else with this on their played before, and it’s one of our favorite games to take camping.

3·23 days agoNice line-up of games in here! I keep meaning to get back to StS; I’m halfway through a run with a friend and I really should just reset it and play with other folks as it’s been over a year now haha

3·23 days agoAn app called BG Stats, and I dig it. Very cost cost of entry and then the only ongoing monetization is for stuff like advanced stats and cloud sync, which I sign up to because I like the product and want him to keep developing, not even because I use that stuff.

1·26 days agoI mean sure, if I saw that actually happening I’d be ecstatic. That’s not what I ever see happening though so I keep my expectations in the basement and maybe one time in 30 I’m pleasantly surprised.
And FWIW in person to a person that’s flipped views I’ll be supportive, and I’ll go through the whole “hey maybe this extends to other things?” And lay the groundwork for growing because I’m not going to shit on them directly for doing something positive for once, but privately I’m not holding out hope that they’re actually going to learn and grow from this to realize empathy is the most important thing we can have as humans.

71·26 days agoObviously change their minds, sure, but also somehow figure out an extrapolation that if this one singular instance deserves empathy, maybe, just maaaaaybe they could extend that to other things as well.

4·1 month agoHuge +1 for dish soap. I was having issues with small lettering about the same size as your test sticking. Washed my plate with Dawn and it was a night and day difference.

Music@lemmy.world•Let's try a lazy weekend suggestions thread. Name a few artists that you dig, I'll recommend someone else. But: I mostly do alt music like metal, industrial, jazz, edm, etc, and don't care for lyrics.English
1·2 months agoSo I didn’t click through and just searched Apple Music for Saint Tropez, and apparently there’s a group with the same name that’s some pretty chill kind of lo-fi French stuff before lo-fi was a thing? Not at all related, but would recommend checking them out. Finally realized my mistake and checked your link out too though and really dug it, thanks for the share and the surprise bonus share!
I switched over to it from Goodreads a few years ago and really dig it. Been slowly getting all my friends to take the jump too and it’s nice seeing more people’s activity again.

Just about halfway through Dry January and it’s been really good for me. I’m down 7 pounds this year which is wild
