4·1 day agoYeah makes me not want to watch anything on there. Wife was watching some true crime and I was so confused on why they kept saying essay (SA) and grape.
2·2 days agoHonestly I dk. I stopped using it two years ago because of technical problems. Just checked for the first time since 2023 and it’s down for maintenance. I have no idea if it’s been like that recently or for years.

You are experiencing gender based persecution. Think of men who can’t be a stay at home dad, work as a nurse, or can’t show emotion, etc. Women who want to do construction work or STEM. LGBT and especially trans discrimination is also that taken to an extreme because the perceived gender divergence is more drastic. For whatever reason, there are many people in society who want to enforce strict artificial gender roles on other people.
That’s still a real form of depression, most are caused by various underlying conditions.
It’s actually common for people with LBD, Alzheimer’s, MS, Parkinson’s, etc to get therapy early on or take antidepressants for the depression symptoms.

Trans discrimination is just that taken to an extreme because the perceived divergence is more drastic.
Whoever you are, and as straight as someone may be, I can almost guarantee you have been personally affected by the same persecution at some point in your life. This is what gender policing actually is and is also the reason why LGB face discrimination, falling outside of gender norms.

The Voyager app is almost exactly like Apollo was before Reddit shut it down. There are others you can try out too and Lemmy will look and function however you want it to.
